USCIS isn't required to give you any information before 5 months is completed.  If a T2 person asked you to call back it's because he himself is looking at the computer screen and it's telling him in very little language that your case is still being processed. Here is a person that is answering the phone all day long from people who are demanding some answers (I take it that you called and was trying to have a civil conversation, I get that) but put yourself in their shoes. Being rude is not something I think he is allowed to but he is human and maybe the person who called before you ran him around so much so that he was not the happiest T2 agent at the moment when you made your contact.

 

I have been here a few years and have helped a lot of people. I too have been through the wringer once or twice but in the end the system is the system and there is nothing any one of us is going to change.

 

Having said this I suggest you wait till your 5 months is up. Call back and see what response they will have about your inquiry. If at that time you haven't received a satisfactory reply you can now get out the BIG GUNS and call the Cavalry. Here is how.

 

First, email the Ombudsman at cisombudsman@HQ.DHS.GOV "The Ombudsman provides an impartial and independent perspective to USCIS in an attempt to resolve problems". I've used them and it works.

 

Second, If that fails then contact your congressman. Here is an entry that someone who is familiar with what happens after contacting your Senator.  Scroll down about 3/4 of the page http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/503722-required-documents-for-muslim-divorce/?page=2 it's very imformative.

 

 

 

Good luck to all of you but keep in mind that this is a process and you can jump up and down and stomp your feet but in the end USCIS still has the gold and he who has the gold makes the rules. Just let this roll. I guarantee you will get your answer sooner than later if you are over 125 days waiting. Timetable now is between 150 and 180 days. Till you reach that window I doubt you will have an answer. I've ridden this horse before!

No it's okay i will be more than happy to just follow thru you😊. What I meant when I said I couldn't follow thru your timeline is that I couldn't follow your updates fast enough to congratulate you. I was gonna quote your in transit post and congratulate you then I see your ready post lol I bet when you receive packet 3 you will have everything in breeze 😉. As  you are all prepared with  paper work and medical. Matt called and they have not received our case yet. He said he is going to call everyday 😊

Well called NVC today to see if they received our case. They received our case on Monday, August 28th which is 11 days after our NOA2 Approval. The guy asked why I was calling and I said to see if our case was received, get Case Number and IIN. He provided me with all the information and suggested that I check the CEAC website to track my case status. He said our case should be shipped out this week to the Embassy. He was very nice. I called 603-334-0700 and chose option 2. Iwas at 7:30pm CST and he picked up right away.

 

Now that we have the case number, we will download our packet 3/4 on the Embassy website, do our DS-160 and Medical Exam. We will wait until the Embassy receive our case before we schedule the interview.

 

Congratulations to everyone that have been approved and good luck and peace to those that are waiting. One thing to look forward to is once you receive your NOA2, the process goes fast.
