I think it it best to know what going on when you talk to them. Of course be polite and nice because they have your future in their hands, but tell them what you know.  And that is that their site says February but they have been approving cases through the middle of April. All you really want to know is if they have assigned a officer to you case, if yes then you can ask about how long has it been assigned, has it been approved? and if there is any marks for a RFE. I am sure they will always tell you to call back in a least 2+ weeks as they do not want phone calls all day long.

I've called once per week the past three weeks and haven't been told anything remotely similar to that. I think it' just a scare tactic on their part. If you're not assigned an adjudicator yet, though, @CE and JR, it might be best to give it a little time before calling back and try not to stress about it for now.

agree with you. However, the thing is that I travel lot for my job and I have been asked about my availability to travel for long periods and that might eventually interfere with the time line where I suppose to be at my base country to get the medical/visa etc. and I think either of can be screw. Unfortunately they are not that many persons that can do my job nowadays :S

I know exactly how you feel. My fiancee needs to know for her job as well because there is a chance she could get relocated, and that will screw up a lot of things, but she doesn't want to quit before I get the NOA2 in the mail and potentially lose months of pay if for some reason our case ends up getting left behind. Plus by law she has to give 30 days notice of resignation in Indonesia. It's causing us both and her more so a great deal of stress trying to figure out the timing so she knows when to turn in the resignation letter and can hopefully avoid being relocated. I really wish they offered more insight into what is going on with our cases and provided better estimated times. I mean when you think about it, every single beneficiary of an I-129F is uprooting their current life to move to the US and get married in a 90 day window that you find out about at the last second. The least USCIS could do is offer us more updates to help us plan during this process.

Yeah thanks. Do my best to combine this application process timeline plus the work. On top of that (trying) making a mental timeline, reminds me that is not only that but there it has to be (at least two week in my case) to checkout my apartment and find a good place (or donate or get rid of) of the things I will not bring. If im not in Holland (where I live) because of my work I might have less time to do things making things more complex.

thanks

I agree 100% with this. It's the not knowing when I'll be able to move that gets to me. Even if someone told me today that for example it would be Feb or march next year then that would suck cos it's so far away but atleast I could plan for that.. hand in my notice for my job, book tickets, get rid of things I'm not bringing, ship things over before.. I feel I would relax more if my life wasn't put on hold without an end date. I think it's really unfair to get off the phone as quickly as possible when people literally just want to know where they're at so that they can plan their life.. sorry rant done... lol

I think someone responded earlier to your question. You will need a co-sponsor for sure and they will need to provide all the supporting documents that you provide such as: pay stubs, tax returns, bank statements, letter from bank etc... I'm not for sure, but i would think the co-sponsor need to be USC. The form used should be the same, but not sure. Check the USCIS website www.uscis.gov Each form has a document that explains it. Try looking there and if you still have questions, then you can try calling USCIS.

Congratulations! I'm so happy for you. It seems that I couldn't catch up with your timeline just this morning when I was trying to read (was just trying because was busy finalizing things for my resignation) your status was in transit and now it's ready. Nvc really works fast and I bet even you are amazed. Good luck on your next step. 1 more step definitely closer to Gary:wub:

Aww, thank you! But don't lose hope yet, I think you might catch up with me still, considering I'm here sitting and waiting again, and can't do a thing until the Embassy contacts me with the instructions (packet 3)... even if I already know what's there :P

Then I'll be rushing to the post office to mail all my documents and, once again, more waiting until they authorize me to book the interview. I can't book my medical either until I have the interview appointment so... yep, you might catch up ;)

I think the 5 and 7 are for the NVC, and I think it was @Estibaliz who first mentioned it and should be able to confirm that. @CE and JR I think that you will need to press 1, 2, 2. Definitely listen to the prompts though. I called earlier today and I'm pretty sure it was 1, 2, 2. I definitely didn't touch a 5 or 7 though and got through to Tier 2, but yes, you'll definitely need to insist on speaking to Tier 2.

Yep, options 5 and 7 are for the immigrant line when calling NVC. We never called USCIS, but I always refer people to this thread, because it seems to me it might be useful:

Anyway, I think people around here have already offered really good advice on how to try to get some info from them with calling. Good luck everyone!

Gm VJ family please i have a question am done with my I-134 Affidavit Of Support form but my income does not meet the required amount.

So my my Question is Can a permanent Resident (Green Card Holder) Support me and what Form do the person have to fill out and what supporting Documents does the person have to add to the Form..Thanks In Advance..

You have already got great advice about the documents and forms you need for the co-sponsor (basically same ones that from the sponsor).

Also I'm pretty sure a LPR can be your co-sponsor. I remember seeing that mentioned around here. Also I've found this:

Who Can Fill Out Form I-134

The person signing the form needs to be either a U.S. citizen or a lawful permanent resident (green card holder). The signer may be asked to show that his or her income is at least 100% of the amounts listed per family size in the federal Poverty Guidelines, and possibly 125% when sponsoring someone for an immigrant visa (permanent residence). You can find this amount by looking at Form I-864P on the USCIS website.

Here's the link: http://www.alllaw.com/articles/nolo/us-immigration/i-134-affidavit-support-instructions-tips-sponsors.html

Hope that helps!
