It's up to you really. I quoted another post, but will say it again to this one too. Perhaps people still waiting in and around our dates within a few days give or take have all been assigned the slow adjudicator and others have already moved past cases with similar dates because they have a faster person working on their cases.

I don't know how USCIS views the congressional inquiries, but I would assume they take them seriously and don't shrug them off. Which leads me to think that if we did have the same adjudicator, and it's clear that they're moving at a much slower pace than the others, perhaps a congressional inquiry or two might actually do something to speed things up, but that's just a guess and there is no way to truly know what is going on there unless someone wants to start working there and fill us all in on the inner-workings of the CSC:jest:

I'm actually the exact opposite. I'm pretty busy at work but am having difficulties concentrating because this is consuming a lot of my thoughts, trying to figure out and plan things. My fiancee is required by law to give a month's notice in Indonesia, so it would be nice to know something so she can finally put in her resignation letter. I'm also worried at this point that the forms and evidence I've started preparing for the embassy interview will be considered out of date if it takes any longer. My biggest concern, though, is the holiday weekend slowing things down even more than they already are. Who knows what adjudicators will be out on vacation or clocking out early on Friday to get a head start on celebrating the holiday weekend.

Those are my thoughts exactly.  There is no use in second guessing it all.  I just hope they are working as hard on their jobs as I am on mine.

So i called USCIS today and spoke to the level 1 who was refusing to transfer me to a tier 2 haha.  I was on the phone with him for 20 minutes and finally he transferred me based on the reason that i demanded a transfer.

Long story short when i spoke to the tier 2 she was nice and said there was a RFE ordered on the 28th and i should get it in the mail in a few weeks.  At least i see now that they are touching my case.

Whew. That escalated quickly. Well, that's better than having nothing at all. Your waiting just adds up about 2 weeks more so that should be fine. Glad you have progress on your case.

The thing is that I've called them a couple of times and I was able to speak to a tier 1. Apparently having to call a few times, I looked it up online and it turns out I can't get a call back because I'm abroad. Sucks.

Hi all,

Do you all know if it's possible to get someone else to call the uscis. Since I'm in Peru with my fiance, I can't call the 1-800 number.

Actually, I tried calling and I was able to go through tier 1. (I'm currently in the Philippines with my fiance) But as I waited for the tier 1 to transfer me, there were these voice options if I wanna get a call back, and if I don't press any buttons, it will hang up. And even if I put in a callback number, it doesn't accept it because it only accept U.S. phone numbers. I think the only option is to wait. Hang in there!

RECEIVED DATE: APRIL 6 (145 days since)

NOA1 DATE: APRIL 11 (140 days since)

I'm going crazy waiting btw. I quit my job for this.

Hi, my case was showed "Ready " on NVC. What's the next step?

Depends on what your country is. Most likely Embassy will contact you soon for the next steps, but check their website for tips or talk to someone that has gone recently through that same Embassy, because maybe there are things you could be doing already.

Are you able to show employment or income at a short notice as you are required to provide proof of support when doing K-1. If your gal is from the Philippines then they might not ask for it until AOS

Yea same! My man have had to calm me down so much in the last week because I've been freaking out about EVERYTHING lol. Like one evening I was convinced that they'd for sure wouldn't approve our petition because of my divorce but now I'm also a bit worried because I had a miscarriage about 5 years ago and was borderline depressed after than, I'm worried that this will show up on the medical report now and they will be like hmmmm you have a history of depression and won't approve my medical. Like his mom had to text me last night and be like please chill out  I'm telling myself that I can probably handle one more month without knowing anything before I go crazy..
