I'm right there with you, especially because you're only a day ahead of me given that April 7 was a Friday and April 10 was a Monday. No clue what's going on over there at USCIS. It's like they're on a different planet.

So frustrating - as the beneficiary I cannot speak to them myself grr... on day 148 here...

Ok so I'm pretty annoyed really but I guess that's to be expected during this process.

I called my GP today and asked for a full copy of my medical history and it is going to cost £50!

Can anyone from the U.K. Comment on this.

Is this normal!? I feel totally ripped off.

My doctors only charge 25p a sheet I think. I don't think there is a set price though, it's up to the discretion of each surgery to set their prices.

Hey. I looked into this the other day when you guys were talking about the medical history thing as it kinda worried me a bit. Not that anything is wrong with me but I find this process so extremely intrusive already that I find handing over my medical history so that I can be with my fiancé absolutely disgusting.. I understand the reason behind it but I find this informationvery private.. any ways.. so I saw someone posted on a forum about Knightsbridge that you just need a summary and not a full history and that you can ask your GP to make this available online for £10 and you can print it off. Someone used this and brought it to Knightsbridge who accepted it. I am for sure not paying £50..

Eeek, hopefully you have some other options available as suggested by @_Mia_

I live in a tiny village in the south west so there doesn't tend to be massive charges down here for bits and pieces like that. I ordered my son's full records including vaccinations and my own and it came to less than £10.

Thank you for the info. I already assumed it was like that... Now I'd like to know how many cases they wait to have before shipping them

I knew my case was third of the day from Spain, so not that many really...

LOL, we are always waiting :)

I saw this information on an old post, so I'm not sure if NVC still uses DHL for shipping cases to the Embassy. Its worth a try.

"I went to www.dhl.com clicked Express then Tracking, then Track by Shipper's Reference, on this page you add your search info..You change the day and month to what you think your's might have left NVC

The day I was trying this I saw a package had left for Egypt. I thought could that be our's? I called the NVC and I was told our package had gone out. The one I had saw was our's I was so happy. I just checked our's it's at the Sorting Center in Egypt now, it's moving fast :)

Someone with the example date I made up above for the country of Egypt has a package going to Egypt now as you will see if you try this.

The best of luck to everyone :)"

Those of you that have your NVC cas numbers and entered it on the CEAC website and notice your case at NVC or left NVC can try this out and see if its still applicable. This can at least let you know when cases are sent to the embassy in your country. Hope this helps. Good luck everyone. May we be with our love ones soon.

I know I'd seen this some months ago but, to be honest, not sure how to make it work :P

Anyway, the ceac tracker is supposed to update to "In Transit" when the case is shipped to the Embassy, so I think that will suffice :)

And yes, that A number in the NOA2 is the Alien Number. So far I've used it for the i134 and to write it in the back of my passport picture for the Embassy. I don't remember right now if it's required on the DS-160, but sure enough we'll need it later on to fill in more paperwork for AOS. Never ending paperwork! :jest:

Thanks so much Estibaliz!  I had no idea what the number was and when to use it. I'll go update my i134 form and I'll let my fiance know to put it on the back of his passport photos.

I just played around with DHL and noticed that they ship out cases alot on Mondays and Saturdays. I played around with the August dates. Here's an example of what I put in.

www.dhl.com --> Express --> Tracking --> Track By Shipper's Reference

Shipper's Reference: EXP 08 AUG 2017A

Date range for shipment from: 06 08 2017

date range of shipment to: 23 08 2017

Account Number: (leave it blank)

Shipment Destination: Select you country

I agree with you that to see the status on the CEAC website will suffice for me also. I know some people really like monitoring very closely and have some kind of information about their case since during most of this process we are left in the dark. I am going to call NVC on this Thursday, which will be 14 days from my NOA2, to see if they have received my case and assigned a number. I'm ready to pick up my fiance from the airport!

Yes he is planning to call nvc to know our number, more like trying our luck since it's just 9 days from Noa2. But he's excited wants to schedule our medical and interview already so I guess no harm in trying so we can be together soon. At least you have your attorney to do that😊
