Thank you for that.  The rough times with this process I think I can almost handle, since I know that it will end and the best thing that has ever happened to me is on the other side of it.  The rough times here at work are another story.  The uncertainty with employment makes a difference for this process as well.  I don't like to look for jobs, I don't interview well at all.

I hope your feeling better, its a great stress reliever to vent a little. I hope things with work work out okay! :) I'm nervous too about interviewing in America. I'm a qualified nurse but only qualified last year so still a newbie. Eek.

Hey Everyone :) Hope everything is all having a great weekend. Ive had a productive morning and figured i would try and continue that by doing some k1 stuff. So my fiancé matt and i started talking in January 2015. We then first met in April I stayed for 10 days ( I have flight tickets for all the times i went over), then i visited june for another 10 days, then August for a month. I then went over in November for 2 months and then february2016  for one week, then May for a month, he then came back to England with me has he started online school and stayed for 6 months, we left together in November for 2 months) We then came back together in January for 6 months.

Anyways I know I have been very lucky to not have done the distance for the last year and thats why its going to hurt so bad when he leaves and I'm just waiting on the visa!

-Sorry i know thats long, So basically my question is basically for the first 18 months it didn't actually occur to me to keep phone records etc but what i do have is thousands of pictures and dates from when I've put these pics on facebook, checked in etc? Do you think this will be okay? Have hotel reservations from when we've been away (We visited Turkey, Paris and Prague together) and when we've visited places in the states, I can screen shot posts his mother put on Facebook? So I can create a timeline that way but unfortunately not with phone records. :(

I think USCIS people should know by now phone records are kind of out of date nowadays :) If you provide hotel reservations and passport stamps as long with boarding passes and some pics, I think that's enough proof for the meeting in person part.

For ongoing relationship we used mostly emails and some FB messages, since I don't think I have ever called my fiance really... Except through FB messenger.

I'm hoping that's enough... But you never know with these people 😕

Thanks so much for your reply, you right it so difficult to know how detailed you should be. Its difficult for our ongoing relationship because here right now so i guess ill just screen shot messages from when I'm at work. When he goes back to the States in September we'll be face timing etc again so I guess ill have more calls and stuff to include. Do you know how big these folders usually are? I just ordered pictures from my phone I have about 80 from different places we've been too and I figured I could write little sickly notes of where they are etc. Then write a letter of all the times we have met in person, when we first met each others families etc.

Ohh yesI got happy scrolling through April 2016 filers earlier, A lot of them I read (I read a few pages) and ALOT of people were saying they were getting married November/ December time. I know everyones different and theres a little delay but that made me so HAPPY!!! I'm hoping December/ January at the latest with our RFE. Have you made any wedding plans yet? Can I ask how long have you been with your fiancee for?  I like this forum because everyone on here can relate to the stress/ anxiety of super long distance relationships!

Well, since you two are together right now, what you can do is saving receipts from things you are doing and back it up with pictures. You can also ask some friend to write an statement or something. I'm not sure about your Embassy, but here it seems they don't care much about proof of ongoing relationship once you get to the interview stage, so it seems the key part regarding that is USCIS and what you send with the i129f petition. We sent only 12-14 pictures since they say those are secondary evidence, and around 30-40 FB screenshots plus, I don't know, like 15 emails, including some from his mom to me. We didn't go crazy here... :P

I'm hoping to be able to move there mid end October the latest, but who knows. Wedding will be just going to court, maybe with his parents and some friends from work, but we'll see (our motto, yay 😂).

My fiance and I met in 2013 through FB. Started to talk more frequently 3 years ago roughly and have been 'together' since end August 2014. We met in person first time in Vegas, February 2015 for a two weeks vacation. Then it came the hardest time, with a ten months separation. After that I visited for 2 months early 2016 and we decided we wanted to be together for good. That's when I found out about the K1 visa and we knew that's what we wanted to do... But we couldn't because his divorce was going nowhere. He came visit in July for one week only, because he was starting a new job and was now or never... And I definitely wanted my family to meet him since we were planning on getting married in the future... Whenever that was :(

I went to visit again for three months early this year... And in February we got the good news the divorce was final... Finally! So yep, time to go through this K1 nightmare... Nothing compared to all we have had to endure already, but still annoying :)

Indeed it is important to keep an open mind about the process.  Dwelling on it will just make you more miserable.  However putting on the analytical mind,  I must say the estimates here are quite good because the sample size is large enough.  Most cases will fall within the standard deviation of 3 months processing time.  Key word being most as there is no way to predict how long a single case will actually take.

So today we got an email from USCiS that states, "We have placed your case on a processing hold because the required security checks remain pending. Until we receive the results of these security checks, we cannot move forward on your case. We require the results of security checks before we make a decision on any pending case."

If I'm correct, it appears to mean that there's a delay in your security checks and that they case is delayed until those security checks come back. I could be wrong though. @Estibaliz - is this correct?

I just looked at your timeline and if you received this just today, I would think that you still fall within the normal timeframe considering you're an April filer, and they haven't started adjudicating April yet. But again, I could be wrong.

ROC Filing:

4/21/2021 - Sent ROC Package via FedEx

4/22/2021 - FedEx package delivered and signed

5/11/2021 - Check cashed

5/14/2021 - Received NOA1 via mail (NOA1 date: 5/8/2021)

6/9/2021 -  Biometrics waived - Case updated to Fingerprints taken

I think you should post in the general forum to see if you get answers from someone more experienced. That sounds familiar to me, seeing someone else talking about that, but not sure what was about.

Anyway, I'm surprised they already touched your case 😮 Good luck. Hope is not a long standby.

Ok, so I just saw in the general forum it WAS an expedited case, so that makes sense they touched it.

They are still not working in April. Maybe in a couple of weeks time :)

Thank you for the updated information.  I was really excited there for a minute.  They will get to April pretty soon.  These past 2 months have flown by to be honest.
