That is the word my mom used. My mom isn't completely old school- but she has the notion that since I'm gathering information and confidence from a website, maybe it's not real. Do you know what I mean? I am using Visajourney as a guide for how much longer I need to wait, what is the normal amount of time...etc. And I read on this forum that people are finding out first through the NOA2 notification they receive in the snail mail. I'm in Peru and checking with them regularly if they've gotten any word.

In terms of estimated processing times, take everything with a grain of salt. Some are ahead and some are behind. Not everyone accurately records dates or the service center their case is at. But yes it does seem to be that everything is updated online except for the NOA2, which you have to wait for in snail mail. Anyways, the site is legit and is a great source of information, and has a wonderful community of people also on a similar journey here to help you at every step of the way and offer support when you need it most!

I want to thank everyone for their input.  It's all loaded.  Tons of pictures, letters from friends and family, receipts etc... I actually have a pretty good job and meet the requirements.  I know Morocco is rough.  I've read horror stories.   We have a plan if they say no.  It was just irritating to think about I guess.  Thank you again to everyone :)

Hi. I've read you\re planning to provide some letters from friends and relatives. is it for the embassy? could you specify it please. Thank you! and good luck.

And hi everyone! I'm new here. My fiance sent the petition in April and the USCIS recieved it on Apr.18. No news for us. But I'm reading stories here and will ask my fiance to make a call and check it. Although as I've found out we are most likely to get a RFE for not sending divorce decree with the petition.

Thanks everyone for sharing your stories. It really helps to see people's experience and updates. Hope we\ll have a great next week!

If we can call, then we need to call:) at least in order to get more conviction that you do everything you can...I am inclined to think it's a coincidence, but we have been approved on the same day when a call.
/By the way, the answer was standard - you are in the normal process  and you will be notified on the USCIS website/ the very next day my fiance got the message of approval 08/23/2017...later, in the I-797 form we've seen date 08/22/2017:P

Congratulations to all NOA2 winners ! Speedy approvals for all of you, guys, who wait !
We received an electronic copy of I-797 and the date of approval is not August 23, as on the website of USCIS, but  August 22 :P
I still have to prepare some... to print out my DS-160, that attorney did... to get my third police certificate, from Moldova too, because i lived there from my 16 to 18, I I have downloaded scans of all documents on a flash card, and I have a transparent plastic packet that i will take with me to the embassy...i did get 5 photos 1,18 х 1,57 inches for medical exam, and i got a copy of my medical records... early  September I'll get vaccine against  flu,  all the rest vaccinations done )
we all need a shot against flu, because all of us will have an interview at the beginning of  influenza season...literally the day after NOA2, I did load myself   as if my interview tomorrow, at morning dawn  )))   but then i did write everything i need for interview and hung list on the wall :)
i'm lucky that my location, Republic of Tatarstan,  is not far from Moscow, 9 hours by car ) )

HI! I'm from Tatarstan too. From Kazan :)

Oh you already got your mail? When? When my fiance called 8/22 the tier 2 said we are already approved but USCIS tracker only updated 8/23 and reflected we are approved 8/23. Maybe we will have the mail on Monday. I hope, I still wanna see the approval on hard copy 😊

Hang on there. We have the same Noa1 date and we just got approved 8/23 and we still haven't gotten our hard copy from the mail, we just knew it from the tracker and from my fiance calling USCIS. So maybe your approval is already in the mail too 😊

Welcome to the group. Yes this group is really helpful on finding information for our case thru real experiences. But what's good here too is the people, everyone is helpful not just in giving information but also in uplifting each other's spirit. I love being in this group😊 it has made the gruelling wait for Noa2 a lot easier to bear just being in this group😊😊
