Chances are like 90% that will be the case. The tracker/email notification still works once in a while, but now is the exception much more than the norm.

The letter of Intent is fine to be scanned.   No RFE's have been issued for wet signatures since 2013 when the requirements changed. 

 

Save your money and scan away!

The person I spoke to said if I don't get it in 30 days to call back. However, like most info they give us, that conflicts with what seems to be the norm so I'm hoping it's earlier.

The original wet signature for the letter of intent is only because it is done the same time the other documents for the petition are prepared by the beneficiary and mailed to USC. Any RFE pertaining to the letter after that can be scanned.

I received status change notification that an RFE was sent on August 18. It travelled across the US and arrived here a week later (yesterday). 

 

Prior to August 18 I heard nothing since I submitted the application in March.

I can only hope it's quick like that for us as well. We haven't received a status change yet. I guess we'll find out soon enough.

Like you @spike198, I found out about the RFE because I called.  It registered on the website 15 days or so after it was requested by the case officer. I received it 4 days later in the mail. Until you get notified that it was sent thru the website it isn't actually sent.  Hopefully it will be sent soon.

Keith I don't know how helpful your Tier 2 was when you called and found out about your RFE, but mine was very helpful. She even told me how to fix it before they issue it with email and direct fax#, but it only works if you know what you left out.

i felt that information was too dangerous to share because too many people might try and jump the shark guessing, causing them longer delays.

i decided to wait for mine to be sure of what they wanted.
