Me too!  I've always prepared myself for a worst case scenario where it could take much longer than I'd like it to, but as time slooooowly goes by and we get closer to the day where we could actually hear something, it just seems harder and harder!  But reading these forums and seeing results trickle in for March has certainly helped.

I feel very similar.  It is really hard to wait.  I am hoping that I can go and be with her for awhile before she comes here.  I am looking forward to that.

Watching water boil is a great metaphor for this.  It doesn't look like anything is happening right now, but it is.

USCIS app just got crazy on my phone. I got six updates in ten minutes, including a couple of Approvals.

Haha, here they are again playing wit our hopes for the case tracker to be fixed

lol omg that would freak me out !!😂🙈 when do you guys realistically think we'll get our visa.. I mean like when do you think we'll actually be able to go? We've always been thinking mid October to November time but have no idea if that's being optimistic or negative lol. I've got some hopes on my custody case being resolved so trying to estimate the time..🙄🙄

I'm hoping for mid to end October, but yep, worried for it to be wishful thinking. I mean, it's not completely impossible, but it depends on so many factors than it's easy to get disappointed on this journey.

My fiancé and I have our own motto. We don't like it, but it has applied to a lot of things going on our relationship and, sure enough, it can apply to anyone going through this process right now... and probably just for live generally speaking

My thought process has always been by the end of the year.  Of course we hope it'll be sooner but this way if I have it in my mind that it's still almost 6 months off, anything sooner will be a bonus!  Like most of you (if not all of you, lol) this is the worst part because it literally feels like nothing is happening.  Once we get to the next step, although we'll still have a ways to go, we'll see progress and a light at the end of the tunnel.  Not sure about all of you, but we are planning to have a party in Jamaica with all of our friends and family and can't set a date for that until we know when he's coming.  I tell ya, if ONE MORE PERSON says to me "so if you had to estimate, when do you think it would be" I will lose it!  ha ha!  I'm a meeting and event planner for a living so not knowing and not being able to plan anything is the ultimate test of my patience   Again, that's why this site and these forums have been a life saver for me.  No one really understands how hard this is like all of you.  Having people to go through this process with has kept me sane!

I would love to know how you are getting the info on the approvals.  I would love to see some of that info.  It is hard to just sit and wait.

That is great if you are getting your custody case resolved.  It will be incredible for you to bring you child with you.  Good luck and I hope it all goes great for you.

Based on what I have been estimating, I am looking at mid-late September to early October.  So yes, 'We'll See' seems very appropriate.

I have been frustrated very much in the last 24 plus hours.  A lot of crazy stuff happening here at work, changes in who is in charge and where we report to.  Making the job less secure than it has been.  Then my love having WiFi issues and not getting to talk with her for a day, that makes my anxious not knowing what is going on.  Too much stress going on right now.

It's a day less for me, since it's close to bed time here.

 

Regarding the notifications on cases, I have an app installed on the phone... But not working that well lately, so I don't know if the couple of Approvals showing are even accurate.

Hang in there. That's just a small bump. I had rough days these two past weeks, but it won't last. Venting is fine, we all have down days.
