The general advise is not to send them anything that they didn't especially asked for... I was referring just to a written statement, that matches the proof you had already sent. But if you did not send important things like boarding passes and passport stamps first time, then maybe that's a good idea.

I think you should try to follow the instructions of what they are asking for to the letter, but of course don't let anything out if you think it will be valuable and will make you feel more confident.

I bet if you ask this in the Philippines forum you will get a great answer from someone who has done this.   http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/129-philippines/   As much as I like getting upvotes, I'm more concerned with getting correct and current info, as I'm going to be where you are at in the next week or two. :)

thankYou for sharing. goodluck. iLL update if i get the right answer 😉

Random question when you enter USA on k1 and hand over your big white envelope what happens to all the paperwork inside, does it get sent off too USCIS??

I asked this on another thread. Apparently they just review it and hand it back to you. Someone said they didn't even look and it wasn't until they got home that they realized it. And when they called they were told it was fine.

Sounds about right. Mine is May 18, and it shows very similar timeframe. Its just an estimate based on earlier filers' feedback. If all the stars are aligned and this current pace continues, then that's the timeframe to get approval. I seriously hope, they increase the pace.

Thank you for your comment. Yes, really hope it moves smoothly and gets faster!!

Although I'm not expecting NOA2 today, I was hoping to see that some people received it.. I'm kind of bummed out that there's no updates yet. I'm hoping someone has news. Whenever my NOA2 arrives, it will be a huge surprise. My NOA1 date was April 26th, it was received on April 24th and mailed on April 19th..  Is anyone else finding it challenging to be sure about wedding plans with no news yet?

Yes, it's definitely a pain. My received is 3/24 and NOA1 is 4/3, so definitely stressed a bit. Still waiting for that NOA2. I know my fiance' and I will get married this year but we won't have a large ceremony until next year possibly February.

We are hoping for New Year's Eve, we eloping since he's not close with his family and my family is scattered throughout the country. We have plans to go to Maui for 2 weeks, and we will have a small party. I have not even bought a dress, with so many delays I've just felt like I should wait. I guess this wait feels never-ending. My fiance on the other hand took advantage of sales in France that happen 2x a year and he has everything he needs.

At least I took advantage of renewing my passport in June so that I can go to France for the interview (hopefully sometime soon!)

That's awesome!!!#DiscountsNSales!!! Yeah, just doing a boring courthouse marriage, so we can give family and friends more of a heads up for the ceremony. I am actually going to try to buy my Punjabi wedding stuff while I'm in India for the interview. And yeah!!! Maui!!! that sounds awesome:wub:   We may just go to Hawaii. Not sure though, because of course you have to factor in randomly inflated ticket prices. But thinking about these things in a weird way helps me to relax. I'm sure it's the same for you, but I'm glad my fiance' and I seem to tag team when we both need emotional support.  You realize how big, small, complicated and simple the world is and you feel extremely blessed that this amazing person was created just for you and you for them, and to have by some miracle found each other!!! Thinking about that makes me smile, makes each day of wait a little more bearable.

Ok then I can copy there terms etc the only thing is I don't have any screenshots whatsoever from talking on POF. I deactivated the account & so did matt when we started talking a lot. But at that point u know I never thought I'd be marrying that man.

in our case even though we've answer 34.a of how we met, my F still makes a 2 page essay of our love story:wub:

I think many people are in the situation of doing courthouse marriages since timelines seem to vary. :/ I met a lady at a bridal shop from Iran who brought her fiance here on a k1 visa and she  did a big wedding in Iran later. I'm sure you will find nicer wedding clothes in India (and for better prices). Although some areas here have amazing Indian communities they are limited in others. We are planning to get our wedding bands in France because as a non-resident I will receive a refund for all taxes paid, so its a great way to save! I agree, no one understands everything like our fiances. We have begun looking for websites for him to sell some of his belongings that are not practical to bring. It's not easy for him to think of when he should sell his car with no updates for USCIS.

Maui will be great, but unfortuately its the high season (summer is the low season and much cheaper). We found an excellent price to fly there, but condos are ridiculous at $1000 a night + who could think of paying that for a 2 week vacation (unless I won the lottery).

It's nice to know that I have company! Well, we are in the same boat I think. Our president doesn't like Mexico or France but I hope it doesn't delay the process. We can only hope that we are not being judged based on the countries our fiances are from at least at this stage. We have already begun talking about Christmas because we figure that it will be resolved by then (at least we are hopeful). I'm hoping for him to be here for Thanksgiving, but we have no way of knowing. In my fiance's case, he has to give 1 month of notice before quitting his job. So, we would like to know what is going on ASAP.

BTW, it seems your fiance has to take all documents to the interview, including the i-134. Also, you only need the bank statement if you are using savings/assets to meet the requirements. If your income is enough, you are good to go (sure you already knew that

This is embassy specific.  The Embassy in Moscow requires bank statement.
