We start talking for maybe 2 days on here before swapping numbers & then using whatsapp to talk. A week later we had our first Skype date where we talked for nearly 5 hours then we'd continue to Skype / FaceTime everyday talking between 30 mins -3 or 4 hours. Then not long after we deciddd we wanted to meet that we really liked each other. So I booked a flight & Camr out to meet him in Atlanta, then we continued long distance seeing each other every 8 weeks ranging from 2 weeks to 2 months. Etc etc I could go in more detail but I won't bore you. 

 

Do do you think it's gonna be a problem because we met on POF? I'm sorry for the rant I guess I'm just anxious because I'm thinking what if they don't believe we're a real couple even though we totally are I mean ya know he's lived here for a year, making myself all anxious and worried 😩 

Hi, I guess USCIS wants you to submit Terms and Conditions or Terms of Service of POF, showing them that POF is not an IMBRA. Together with the Terms and Conditions, explain stories on how you met.

IMBRA (International Marriage Broker Regulation Act), you have to prove to the USCIS that POF is not an International Marriage Broker.

BTW, it seems your fiance has to take all documents to the interview, including the i-134. Also, you only need the bank statement if you are using savings/assets to meet the requirements. If your income is enough, you are good to go (sure you already knew that ).

Ok then I can copy there terms etc the only thing is I don't have any screenshots whatsoever from talking on POF. I deactivated the account & so did matt when we started talking a lot. But at that point u know I never thought I'd be marrying that man.

Most dating sites don't erase the account completely. Try signing back on and print your and Matts profiles if you can

Just attached the TOS with your story above. Highlight the portions where it says the sites isnt an IMBRA.

I'm getting an RFE probably for the same thing. But I did submit both profiles as proof we were members when we met even though we never spoke on the site. I just forgot the terms of service

I don't think you need any screenshots from POF specifically, since sure you already provided them with other proof of relationship (messages, emails, calls...).

 

You've got good advise on how to reply to that, I think

It seems to me they are asking you also to explain better regarding question 34.a in the old form, which was the one about how you met and circumstances of meeting. Maybe you can write a more detailed statement, but still straight to the point, on where and when you met and the further development of the relationship, as you did before, stating all the meetings and dates.

Accompany that with the Terms and Conditions for Plenty Of Fish, and that should suffice, right?

Hopefully! Im off work tomorrow so we're gonna head to the library so we can print it off. Going to send a lot more photos & all the flight tickets etc

Really hope so, my anxious brain doesn't cope well with USCIS lol whoever thought long distant relationships would be so complicated lol
