Me (beneficiary - UK) fiance (petitioner - California, USA) - NOA1 on April 15th. Called to check on NOA2 - they are currently only working on Feb 1st. Really disheartened. Any others dealing with CA center?

They are well past Feb 1st. They just by default keep telling everyone February 1st. Everyone waiting on a K1 is dealing with the CA Center. I would suspect that you all will get the NOA2 in the next week or so most likely. Could be delayed but there seems to be a lot of movement around that date right now.

Just everyone.  All K1 are sent to CSC.  The pat answer from USCIS is that they are working on Feb.  That is all they will tell you at the Tier 1 level.  You need to insist to talk with a Tier 2 person.

Hi guys, I kinda think I know what to do after NOA2 but please please correct me if I'm wrong  I have been doing a lot of research thanks to everyone here  on VJ but I still have some grey areas that I'm unsure about.

1. Wait for case to reach NVC and keep calling to get a case number from them.

2. After receiving case number my fiance is to fill out the DS160 and print out confirmation.

3. I know he has to get his medical done but how do we know the 'where when how and how much'??

4. Set his interview date - we have to pay for this prior to the interview (make sure it's 2 weeks after medical examination)

**meanwhile we're still waiting for his police certification to come in. And I still need to get my bank statement. We have everything else (letter from employer, his passport, W2s, pay stubs, tax transcripts, updated intent of marriage from us both, additional proof of relationship)

Also, I know I have to fill out form I-134 but what do I do with that? Do I need to send it somewhere or does my fiance just have to bring that and it's supporting documents to his interview?

Thank you in advance!!!

I think you are doing a good job in getting ready for the next steps :)

Best thing to do is always check the US Embassy website for your country or try to find someone else here that had already gone through the process there before you.

Here you can find info about the process for Cambodia: packet 3, interview, medical... There's a section for Fiancée Visa scrolling down.

https://kh.usembassy.gov/visas/immigrant-visas/

BTW, it seems your fiance has to take all documents to the interview, including the i-134. Also, you only need the bank statement if you are using savings/assets to meet the requirements. If your income is enough, you are good to go (sure you already knew that :P).

Good luck!

Hello all, so our RFE came back & there requiring more information based on how we first met. So maybe ours was too vague, think we said just online on pof then 4 months later I went to Atlanta.

So should i be more specific & detailed exactly what happened. Which was I had a POF account that myself & 5 others created to see who could get the most messages when road tripping thru America. - pathetic I know. lol anyway 5 months later I log on & notice I have a msg from matt. We start talking for maybe 2 days on here before swapping numbers & then using whatsapp to talk. A week later we had our first Skype date where we talked for nearly 5 hours then we'd continue to Skype / FaceTime everyday talking between 30 mins -3 or 4 hours. Then not long after we deciddd we wanted to meet that we really liked each other. So I booked a flight & Camr out to meet him in Atlanta, then we continued long distance seeing each other every 8 weeks ranging from 2 weeks to 2 months. Etc etc I could go in more detail but I won't bore you.

Do do you think it's gonna be a problem because we met on POF? I'm sorry for the rant I guess I'm just anxious because I'm thinking what if they don't believe we're a real couple even though we totally are I mean ya know he's lived here for a year, making myself all anxious and worried 😩

I've never heard of POF, so not really sure what it is. But perhaps, since you met 'online' they just need more information about the circumstances to be sure it wasn't arranged i.e. seeking out a US citizen in order to become an immigrant. I could be totally wrong. Its definitely strange since (im assuming) its not a dating website. Have they asked for anything specific? Or just 'more information'.

Can I ask how long the RFE took to get to you from the time the letter was dated? Curious how long mail is actually taking from West to East coast.

Good Luck and I hope your NOA2 comes very soon!
