Before last years elections, processing times were down to less than 60 days. They creeped up to 90 by January. Then after the Supreme Court honored part of the ban/ extreme vetting it jumped to over 128 days. Now is it possible that USCIS is applying the vetting to all petitions to be fair and not single out the flagged countries? Of course. My statement was in no way political, it was meant to point out the huge jump in RFE's that didn't garner them before.

Interesting thought.  That would alleviate the potentially perceived as racist vetting from certain countries.  Just vet all of them the same way!!!  I've also heard that this administration may have put the HB visas ahead of family visas priority wise.  That makes sense too.  There was a marked increase in business related visa approvals at the same time the family based visa approvals slowed down.  This is probably a combination of lots of changes all happening at once.

I didn't think of that. I just wanted to be clear. I'm not one of those guys that thinks they're doing this to make the Pres look bad. He does that himself now and then.

I didn't vote for him or Clinton because I view my vote as an endorsement, and neither earned it. I like Cruz but he lost, life goes on lol. I will however respect the position and the office no matter who holds it.

Point well taken, your comments are very much appreciated.  Unfortunately (for all of us in this thread) USCIS is a government entity and in the line of fire when it comes to a political hot topic.

I agree.  It isn't about doing anything but what they are told.  Yes, this last election really didn't offer any real great option in my mind.  I am very middle of the road and agree and disagree with both sides.  I like McCain but that wasn't in the cards this time around.  I prefer a presidential President.  I don't want to see all the nuts and bolts because that can hurt more than it helps.  I dont have to like the person but I want to respect the position.  I don't have that right now.  I guess I've always felt that since we pay the salary, the President should work for us.  Sometimes it doesn't feel that way.  I still believe that man is good.  I have met a lot of great people here from all over the world.  We all share the same wants and desires.  The world is smaller than we think.  I guess finding my true love and soulmate 8,134 miles (13,090 km) away does have a tendency to make one adopt a more worldly attitude.  I wish us all luck.

I think that if left to the people around the world , we would all get along for the most part. Bigotry and hatred are learned behaviors that we must overcome and reject.

when I look at profiles on VJ. I see Love and respect no matter where the couples are from.

I also see it from our own citizens towards one another despite racial differences, and that my Brothers and Sisters, gives me hope.

Or it could be that there were a "flood" of visa's submitted over the last 6 months?

I agree.  I believe in the end that good and love will win.  There will be and have been some serious battles though.  I have learned so much here and through my relationship with Rose.  Love will prevail but it will have challenges.

Looking at raw numbers, visa applications seem way down.  Moving all K-1s to California may also play a part.  Overall I believe the trend is for fewer submittals than previous years.

I had posted back in July that the White House finally approved 15,000 temp visas for summer workers.  It's something that happens every year, however this year it was very delayed so I'm guessing that once approved, there was a rush to get them processed because they needed to fill those jobs ASAP.

Hi guys, I kinda think I know what to do after NOA2 but please please correct me if I'm wrong  I have been doing a lot of research thanks to everyone here  on VJ but I still have some grey areas that I'm unsure about.

1. Wait for case to reach NVC and keep calling to get a case number from them.

2. After receiving case number my fiance is to fill out the DS160 and print out confirmation.

3. I know he has to get his medical done but how do we know the 'where when how and how much'??

4. Set his interview date - we have to pay for this prior to the interview (make sure it's 2 weeks after medical examination)

**meanwhile we're still waiting for his police certification to come in. And I still need to get my bank statement. We have everything else (letter from employer, his passport, W2s, pay stubs, tax transcripts, updated intent of marriage from us both, additional proof of relationship)

Also, I know I have to fill out form I-134 but what do I do with that? Do I need to send it somewhere or does my fiance just have to bring that and it's supporting documents to his interview?

Thank you in advance!!!
