@Estibaliz have they received your case yet?

They didn't yesterday, but we didn't call today.

We'll try tomorrow, I guess in the morning before Gary goes to work... unless the waiting is too long.

Somehow getting prepared for another 'nope' :( It's amazing how frustrated and anxious you can feel with this short wait, after the long NOA2 one

I'm not so sure, which is why I would recommend that they transfer you the money and then you pay! haha

This is what happened to me, by the way. My fiancée's family paid for the fee, but they transferred to my US account and I issued the check.

thats for the Visa fee? i cant make it myself because im not in my home country yet. and i want to make the interview schedule early.. thats why 😞

I'm sure there's a lot of people from the Philippines that can give you an answer or advice on that, so maybe ask on the country portal?

Saying that because I don't know how you have to make the payment in your case, and I've seen that can be different depending on the country too, with some people having to pay at a specific bank, while others we can pay online with our card.

Sure there has to be a way :)

Hi! I'm fine... just impatient to get my NVC number :P

So I've just seen there's three ways to make your payment in Philippines:

  1. cash payment at any Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) branch
  2. online payment provided by BPI to their clients
  3. or online payment via Bancnet.

Unfortunately, I'm not familiar with how those options work, though it seems for what I just read around the forum you would have to be the one going to the bank in person for option 1. So what about 2 and 3?

But I guess asking, whether in the bank itself or to the Embassy, can be always an option. That's how you learn things, asking

Normally I would agree, but my Senators office said there have been a lot of frivolous RFEs since February, missing documents that were there for pre-check, not enough history on how you met, misplaced boarding passes etc. congress is aware and investigating.

Wow THIS IS interesting.  Meaning people are just acting out because they are upset about how the election turned out, not because the White House directed them to tighten up on background checks etc.  Thanks for the insight Chris2870!

Exactly! I'm here sitting and waiting for things to start moving with everything ready my side and wanting to be done. I'm anticipating how when that finally happens it will be me the one busy and having to wait a couple of extra weeks :P

Oh, well, shouldn't complain, at least we already have the NOA2, so it shouldn't be much longer than a couple of months now (my Embassy can be a bit slow at times and too strict with doing things step by step and only when they authorize you...).

Before last years elections, processing times were down to less than 60 days. They creeped up to 90 by January. Then after the Supreme Court honored part of the ban/ extreme vetting it jumped to over 128 days. Now is it possible that USCIS is applying the vetting to all petitions to be fair and not single out the flagged countries? Of course. My statement was in no way political, it was meant to point out the huge jump in RFE's that didn't garner them before.

Random question when you enter USA on k1 and hand over your big white envelope what happens to all the paperwork inside, does it get sent off too USCIS??

I bet if you ask this in the Philippines forum you will get a great answer from someone who has done this.   http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/129-philippines/   As much as I like getting upvotes, I'm more concerned with getting correct and current info, as I'm going to be where you are at in the next week or two. :)
