Looks like things are moving along and USCIS is officially into March petitions.  Looking at the processing status, there are some petitions as late as 15 March that receive RFE's!

Hopefully things begin to pick up and we all get our NOA2's sooner than the timeline says.

This waiting is driving both of us crazy!!!  It seems like life is "on hold".  But when it is all done, this will all be a distant memory.

Definitely know and feel your sense of helplessness!  We prepared for the worst case, but are hoping for the best as far as quick approvals for all are concerned.  You're not too far from where I live.

Hello there!

I just want to update you guys regarding our missing NOA1.

Form I-129F Received date: April 19, 2017 (Unfortunately hard copy NOA1 was not received :()

Requested USCIS to resend the NOA1 via e-Request: June 1, 2017

NOA1 hard copy received in mail: June 11, 2017

It just gave me a peace of mind that our mailing address could really receive the mails. Because previously I was worried that NOA2 would also gone missing in the mail in the future.

So yeah, e-Request works!

Hello all :)

So I just wanted to introduce myself and say I think this group is such an excellent idea for someone who stresses so much lol.

On  April 7, 2017, we received your Form I-129F, although my fiancé forgot to send in his birth certificate so I'm aware that usually adds an extra month or so.

I was wondering , Does anyone know the specific next steps? I know I have to make an appointment at the US embassy bringing proof of our relationship and also have a medical exam but do I have to file any forms beforehand?

Thanks so much, I hope I don't sound stupid its just these things confuse me. Also I'm sure I read before but cant see it now a form that says my fiancé can support me but sometimes they don't ask depending on your circumstances. I am a degree trained nurse and currently in the process of filing to take my NCLEX exam in America so I can nurse over there.

I know this is all jumbled but id appreciate your help because I want to try and have the next steps speedy as I'm sure we all do. Hope everyone else is doing great and I really hope we all hear back soon... hopefully this time next month some of us would have heard something! fingers crossed!

Making another trip to visit my Fiance in 13 days...  Get to spend 16 days with her this time around!  This will be our 4th trip together.  According to my timeline, the date I return (July 11th), is the start of my possible NOA2 window.  April filer's NOA2's are just around the corner!

Hi again :)

There's a bunch of things you two can start doing already, such as gathering documents, so that saves us some time later... especially since you say you are the kind that stresses out easily (like me and about everyone around here, it seems :P).

First thing I suggest you to take a look at the K1 flowchart here: http://www.visajourney.com/content/k1flow

As you will notice, you completed step 3, and are waiting to get to 4... and it refers you to the K1 guide, where it explains the documents your fiance should send you for the Embassy stage. Some of them could take time or cause you some doubts on what's the best way to go, so good to start already.

You also have to gather documents yourself for the interview or packet 3, depending on how your country Embassy works. For instance, I need to send all the documents before being allowed to schedule the medical or interview, but I know it's different in UK.

So the best thing you can do to get the right information is:

1- Check your USEM: https://uk.usembassy.gov/visas/fiancee-2/applying-for-a-fiancee-visa-instructions/

2- Ask other people on VJ from your country that are currently going through the process or just did recently.

Hope that helps you out :) I also saw you still didn't get to create your Timeline. Let us know if you have any other questions or need help with anything, and keep in mind that there's a lot more of experienced people regarding this whole process on VJ, so you can always start a thread and make questions in the general K1 forum.

AHH!  I sure hope so!  I am blessed that I got to see my Fiance back in May and have another trip planned in August, but this is REALLY HARD!  As each day goes by and we are "closer" I feel like it's worse.  Is that just me?!?  I am constantly thinking about what life is going to be like together... Every time I do something fun or with couples it makes me sad that he's not here with me.

No, it's not just you!  LOL.  Same here, it's like waiting on the microwave or watching a pot of water boil.  Seems like nothing is happening until it finally does.  I have faith that our day is coming, and we will be with our loved ones soon.
