Exactly!

But if you don't have the time or your case is complicated, at least it would be nice to be sure you are going to get real help, and no more delays in an already long enough process

I didn't contact any attorneys but was planning on using an external service.  I started doing research a couple months before I filed while I waited for my divorce to finalize and discovered VJ. Someone asked a question about using RapidVisa and the resounding answer from the forum was don't bother and do it yourself using the VJ guides. I took that advice and did my package to the letter of the guide. I feel pretty confident I'll be okay.

The heavens have indeed heard you. Matt called USCIS earlier at 3:30pm for the first time she talked to a nice costumer service and said he would like to inquire about our case and ask that he may be transferred to a tier 2 officer. She then got our details and Matts fone number and said he will receive a call back in 75 minutes. I was telling Matt maybe they will not call since it's already almost their time to go off work but then the he received a call from the tier 2 and said our case was approved today:jest:.when he called me I just couldn't believe it. But thanks God we finally got our Noa2. For all those who are still waiting just hang on there yours is coming soon.

Your NOA1 please?

I decided to use a service to help because I've heard the RFE horror stories.  So far it was well worth it!!!  They asked me a couple times for additional items.  It was worth the cost to have the extra set of eyes looking at the package before it was submitted.

Same here. I wanted the peace of mind that comes with an extra set of eyes on my petition. I didn't want to lose any more time with my love.

I am the same way.  I hired an attorney and although we have an rfe coming, I feel confident that it's not because he missed something.  As a matter of fact, he kicked our paperwork back to me twice with things I needed to fix to submit.  What people sometimes fail to remember is every case is different.  My fiance lives in a house that doesn't even have a street address.  He doesn't have facebook or even internet so we provided everything we could when we applied but that doesn't mean it's going to be enough.  We will find out soon enough what we need to provide to move forward, but comparing my case to someone else's is like comparing apples to oranges.  And don't even get me started on the people processing the cases and how thorough they are compared to others!
