It is cliche, but hang in there, you are right at your VJ time estimate.  It is going to happen, you just need to be patient.  That is coming from someone that is the least patient person.  I have been complaining to Monica constantly about not having our NOA2, She says it will happen, we will be together.  I know how hard it is, we are sitting at 148 days from received.

Thank you guys> and to the other responders of that post.

I (we all) need to keep a positive attitude. In the past few days I've begun worrying whether my fiancé will even like the United States, Virginia...must remain "tranquila" (as the Peruvians say)..thank you guys so much for your support.

We are all in this together. I think everybody can find something to worry about. I have thought about the same thing. Will my fiance like it here? What will my Fiance do for the first few months waiting for EAD while I am at work? Do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has its own troubles. I must learn this myself first.

If you are at the bottom of a flight of stairs and staring at the top, you don't have to jump up there in one shot! its just one step at a time!

Good Luck!

Hello April Filers,

My NOA1 is dated April 25, 2017 and like many of you I am still waiting for the NOA2. I am just curious but by any chance, does anyone know how accurate our VJ Timeline estimates are? Watching my timeline go up and down really seems to have an impact on my mood on a daily basis....

Thank you everyone and good luck. :D

Happy Tuesday morning to all.  I am working on a most positive attitude today.  I checked last night while talking with Monica and it showed that my return of the RFE was received by them yesterday, so that is good.  Now we wait to see how long it takes for them to get the NOA2 out the door to us.  Hope it will be this week.  Would be real nice if the online tracker worked for this now.

I also want to say a very large happy congratulations to all that have been approved recently.  I am very happy for you all.

@fishereb, it is not the US that will matter to your fiance, it is you.  I don't think it matters where you are as long as you are together.  It will definitely be an adjustment for them.

My fingers are crossed for you and Monica; I hope that your NOA2 comes quickly now!  :)

Well, tomorrow I'll be at the end of my VJ timeline, and still nothing in informed delivery or on the tracker. I called and got through to a Tier 2 Officer who was able to tell me some USCIS lingo...but he couldn't tell me the one thing I wanted to hear. Interestingly enough he also contradicted most of what the Tier 2 Officer told me last week. Seems like every time you think you've figured it out or got some helpful information, someone else there tells you something different. Who knows what's going on at USCIS!... Anyways, my case is still in the queue, but no RFE. He made it seem like if there was a problem I'd have one already (but who knows if that's actually true or not. Seems like it might be...) But yeah no RFE, so I'll try to stay positive and take that as a win I guess.

I just called USCIS and the guy that answered the phone sucked at life. He was miserable beyond anything I've ever encountered before. I've called 3 times now in 4 months, all with a reason and not just to check a case status and the other 2 call takers were nice and helpful. This guy however made me so mad, I didn't say anything to him for fear that he would mess with my case. After this process is over and she is here,  I have his employee number and I will be calling back specifically to talk to him and let him know how much I don't appreciate him at all.

Same here.  As soon as we get our NOA2, the real fun begins.  I'll be there as well, and bring all the paperwork.  I'll be bringing 2 empty suitcases with me.  Did your fiancee get her police check done already?  Tuyen already submitted her request for the criminal certificate #2 last week.  It takes about a month and is good for a year.  Make sure it's #2.  The #1 certificate is only for student visas.

oh,  thanks for letting me know about the criminal certificate #2.  i recall she showing me the certificate #2 but i will have her confirm it.

i figure your financee needs all the help she can get so being there with  her is a good idea.

it is great idea bringing empty suitcase.  would it be easier to buy the suitcases in Vietnam since everything is cheap over there ?  my fiancee told me she can buy clothes for me for couple of dollars at the market  so don't bring too much clothes when i visit  her.   :D she can buy a shirt for 20000 dong which is like $1.

good luck to you on the visa interview.    i hear the most difficult part is the waiting. the actual interview takes only 5 - 15 minutes.  :D  my fiancee loves seafood so we will go eat some  after the interview. Delicious  food is so cheap in Vietnam and Uber is ridiculously cheap compared to U. S.   :)

Curious as I am, I'm wondering what you mean by them receiving your response to the RFE. Did the tracker update already or are you talking about the USPS tracker showing your letter was delivered?

Anyway, you sure did a great job on sending that back at light speed :)

Reading through everyone's approval post is bitter sweet for me. I'm happy everyone is getting approved but also sad that there's still no word on ours. I'm crying while seeing all the NOA2 approvals. Don't know if it's happy tears or sad tears or both 😫 Congrats to everyone so far. This waiting game is painful.

You can get the suitcases there quite cheap.  Just check to make sure the quality is good. You don't want all of your stuff floating around the cargo bay because your bargain suitcase fell apart.  I just happen to have them already.  Yeah, love the cheap food in VN.  Nha Trang has some really cheap eats and really delicious.  Her uncle has a restaurant there.  Best of luck on the rest of your journey.

my VJ timeline is а week behind me and nothing in delivery too ...

Glad(?) to hear I'm not the only one. I think tomorrow I'll be beyond it if the VJ timelines have been moving forward as they have the past week or so because it was originally showing through Aug 25, then 24, and today 23...At this point I'm going to ignore the informed delivery emails. I'd rather have a pleasant surprise than more disappointment. Just hoping for something before the end of the month.

I think there are a few others in the same boat, being beyond the estimated timeline. I think someone might have already used this analogy, but perhaps we've been assigned the slow adjudicator, like the slow cashier at the supermarket who has to look up every produce code.
