Just a quick question. We got our NOA2 approved 8th August, how long is the timespan from getting that to the NVC issuing a case number? And are people calling them for updates?

I thinks it's advised that you wait 2 weeks from NOA2 approval and then you can call for your case number. Today is exactly 2 weeks for you :)

Hey... I'm an early May filer and, I agree, this is one of the hardest waits that I've had to endure... ever.  But you're almost there.  :)  Keep the faith; it might even happen for you this week or next!  :)

Don's lose faith! Today is the start of your projected adjudicated date range! We all on here know how difficult it is to wait and we all have our bad days. Have you called the USCIS? If you can reach tier 2 you could see if your case has been assigned yet. If yes its only a few days until your approval!

Stay positive! Its close!

As @Salty2305 said, today is a good day for you to call, being in the two weeks mark :)

Some of us tried yesterday, after 11-12 days, and no luck, but I've seen a lot of people lately getting their number at day 13-15.

Good luck! And please, keeps up updated

yes.  i plan on accompanying her to the visa interview. it sounds like a big ordeal for her to deal alone.  she  could use some moral support.  Also,  there may be questions i can help answer right there rather than getting the blue slip.

This way,  instead of mailing it and possibly getting lost, i can hand deliver the i-134 and other supporting documents that i need to prepare on my end.  Once i know the interview date i will book my flight.  While i am their, my fiance wants to  have a small engagement party and wants to visit her family in Hue.

Same here.  As soon as we get our NOA2, the real fun begins.  I'll be there as well, and bring all the paperwork.  I'll be bringing 2 empty suitcases with me.  Did your fiancee get her police check done already?  Tuyen already submitted her request for the criminal certificate #2 last week.  It takes about a month and is good for a year.  Make sure it's #2.  The #1 certificate is only for student visas.

So... I got home and no letter in the mail. I figured it was just one of those days where Informed Delivery gives me a sneak peak of a sneak peak... :jest: It's happened before that I received the notification one to two days prior to actually receiving the letter. So you know, no big deal.

Then when I woke up this morning... BAM! NOA2 under my door! :) WE WERE APPROVED!

(Timeline has been edited and I will also change my signature here for more details/dates. PS: Tracker still stuck on the date they received my file :P)

So now sure we can say it loud... CONGRATS! :jest:
