So, I called today, and asked to speak to a tere 2 person. About 20 minutes they called me... What a waist of 20 minutes of life I will never get back...this guy was a complete looser!!! He told me that California was still processing January and some February cases, and that anyone on this site that claimed to get their NOA2 were, wait for it....were lieing!!! Really people...are you people really lieing on here???? I even questioned him on the site from them...says it's working great...omg!!! Sonmebody please shoot me.... Well like I said, no where on my case...116 days and counting....

So so my OH called yesterday, first spoke to a really nice lady (Tier 1)who explained a lot, he still asked to be put through to Tier 2 and she did. Tier 2 said they're processing 1 Feb, my OH half then said, I know that's not true as we're on this forum and people from early April are getting their NOA2's through. He then ( my OH said he was super nice was really nice) and said, I know CSC are processing April as well at the moment. My OH then asked if he could look at our case and he said that ours had not been assigned to anyone yet, however he said that once they're assigned it moves really quick and a desicion is usually made within a day or two maximum. He then said that tier 2' s cannot see much more but if my OH wanted he could make an appointment with our local immigration office and that they can look further into it and give us a more exact estimate etc.. this is the first we've ever heard of this and to be fair they received our application on April 24th so we're still not expecting anything yet but at least we got some answers and if we haven't heard anything in about 3 weeks we will schedule that meeting.

I got my approval in the mail today 8/18!

Just to sum up:

NOA1 was 4/7/17;

RFE dated 8/2/17, arrived in mail on 8/7/17,

reply sent on 8/9/17 and USCIS received on 8/10/17,

official NOA2 dated 8/14/17, and I received it in the mail today, 8/18/17.

Thanks everyone for your help and support!

Congratulations! Fast rfe approval. I hope Keith and Monica's rfe will be approved just as fast so they can have their Noa2. May I ask what is your rfe?

Yes, my RFE required more evidence/explanation around how we met and proof that we had seen eachother in the last two years. My original evidence was a signed letter with trip dates and dated photo proof to support that; in the RFE i sent back more signed (and notarized) letters giving more detail, plus more photos, and copies of our passport stamps. That did the trick!

I just use the Apple USCIS App. It basically allows me to check the status of lots of cases simultaneously by simply adding multiple cases to a 'my cases' page and refreshing. Nothing yet for your WAC number. In fact, it doesnt look like there are any updates for 10/4 receieved date today :(. But, someone on here ^^ just posted about a possible approval for their case when they called USCIS (NOA1 13/4, the same as ours). So all hope isn't lost! :star:

Can I ask you a favor? Can you also include our case In the cases you follow? Our case number ends in 86262. Thanks in advance.

Yeah, that appointment they are talking about is the Infopass. That was our plan at first once we hit the 150 days mark... When that wasn't kind of normal, I guess now 150 is nothing 😑

You can make the appointment online and I think it's supposed to show slots for the next two weeks. I checked a couple of times in the past, and it's very common to see a message saying they don't have appointments available. So if you want to do this in the future, keep it in mind and check appointments ahead of time.

:)

Anyway, I thought the local officer at the Infopass had access to the same info than a Tier 2 officer... Maybe not.

I used Filipina Fiancé Visa Service to help me with my process. Hopefully I won't have any hold ups and it goes through without a REF. If it goes smooth then it's definitely worth the 600 dollar fee to use them. I'll keep u posted, hopefully I hear something within the next 2 to 3 weeks because i got accepted on April 26th.  Wish us luck and I wish u all the best, may the time fly for u all.

I think it just depends on luck with who you speak to! I called just now (finally got impatient) and followed the prompts until I had the option to speak to a rep. I told them I was calling to see if my case had been touched and if not, when it might be updated.

The rep looked it up and said they made a decision on my case yesterday and that I would be getting a notice of action with next steps in a few days. I assume this means NOA2 and not RFE. My status online hasn't changed...

Try again and hopefully you get good news going into the weekend :)

I really hope that means a NOA2 and not a NOID. I assume an RFE would have showed updated on the tracker? Well, NOID's update too, I saw one issued yesterday for April 11th received date... Did you check your case on the USCIS tracker?

Let's hope for the best :)

Lol sorry for the repeated wording in my post, looks like late night writing and my iPad is not agreeing with me. Yea he said we can book it online an my OH said he'd log on and book an appointment for next week or so but seeing 'trend' of 130 something dates I kinda feel it's a bit pointless doing it now as I'm in no way expecting it until first week Sep the earliest.

Yeah, you are right it's a bit earlier for your date at the moment, but always good to have a back up plan :)

Hope you get it before having to resort to that... And you can always cancel the appointment if you get lucky :D

At least you were not delayed that long even if with rfe. Good luck to your next journey. I hope ours will come soon too
