Update: got an email today that we have a RFE

I don't know if I should cry or be happy - now we will continue to wait until we receive it in the mail and see what exactly what they want... :(

Well, we all prefer to get an Approval than a RFE, but be content your case was touched and get ready to respond to that as soon as possible. Hope you get the hardcopy soon and it's an easy fix :)

So i called the customer service again and got the tier 2 to call back.  They refused to tell me anything other than that they are processing Feb 1st cases.  He wouldn't tell me if i had been assigned to an adjudicator or any detail on my case.

How do all of you get more detail?  I see people getting told if they have been assigned or are doing background checks.

I dont get it. Hahaha

I think it just depends on luck with who you speak to! I called just now (finally got impatient) and followed the prompts until I had the option to speak to a rep. I told them I was calling to see if my case had been touched and if not, when it might be updated.

The rep looked it up and said they made a decision on my case yesterday and that I would be getting a notice of action with next steps in a few days. I assume this means NOA2 and not RFE. My status online hasn't changed...

Try again and hopefully you get good news going into the weekend :)

My guy was hesitant at first, but I insisted that the tracker was broken or at the least not updating appropriately or consistently and mentioned that tier 1 told me that. If that truly helped getting some info or not, I can't be sure. I think it really just depends on who you get and perhaps whoever they were last speaking to before you. The Tier 2 I spoke to also didn't want to give out any information unless I specifically asked something. Conversation went something like this:

*introductory confirming ID and case number*

Me: It seems like the tracker is broken. Tier 1 said you've been having issues with it. I know other people with similar received dates have been getting RFEs or approvals. Curious to know if I have something in the mail yet or not.

Tier 2: No, your case is still pending. There is nothing wrong with the tracker. it is functioning properly.

Me: Well has someone touched it yet, or is it currently being adjudicated?

Tier 2: No, it's still pending and is not being adjudicated yet.

Me: Well, have I at least been assigned to an adjudicator yet?

Tier 2: Yes, your case has been assigned to an adjudicator but is still pending. It shouldn't be much longer.

Me: Thanks for your time. Have a good day.

This makes sense.  Way too many cases to keep track of.

Well I'm at day 141 now (NOA1 March 30), and no updates on anything.

But I do want to apologize to everyone...turns out I'm the guy who, no matter what line I get in at the supermarket, no matter how short it is, as soon as I get in that line it becomes the slowest, and everyone behind me has to wait. Maybe that's why we're all waiting.

But I am a bit heartened to hear that some folks have been already approved, just not notified yet.

In any case, some free advice...

The wait has been driving me crazy for the last few days, so last night I decided to just forget it, have a beer and not worry. I figured I'll check in once a day maybe, but put my mind on other stuff. Because a watched pot NEVER boils.

And believe me, I feel MUCH better :D

do you understand russians better now ?? )))))
