The first I knew about the RFE was on Fri 8/11, talked with Tier 2 person, they said that the RFE was requested on 7/31, but I had not received it.  They requested that it be resent.  It was then done on 8/15 and it was notified on the website.  So it took them 15 plus days to send out the RFE and so far I have not received it.  Want to get it and get it back in the mail ASAP.

Spoke with a super rude and racist Uscis rep. I reported him. 

I have never had to deal with someone that horrible. 

Recalled and spoke with a much nicer person. 

Still no update 😢 Feeling super sad. I  just want this part to be over. Trying not to let that jerk on the phone ruin my day, though.  So happy this forum is here.

Oh, so that RFE exists, it's a fact, and they updated it on website... it seems they sent hard copy on 15 th aug. ... you will get near 22-23 august, i guess... in any cause you can write an official request to USCIS to send copy of RFE and describe everything in detail. 

It gonna be ok, wish you big luck then .

if they did check u case on 31 july, then you have about 3 weeks  to get hard copy RFE as i heard...  in september 2016 cases were approved in one month approximately... and RFE did it another month longer . You are in a normal process.

I'm confident your RFE will be in the mail tomorrow or, worst case scenario, on Monday.

Our USCIS letter took only three days to arrive (I assume it was sent on a Friday and arrived by Monday) and Salt Lake City is about the same distance from California than Portland (yep, I googled it ).

 

So hoping for tomorrow so you can send things right away if everything is ready and, if not, you still have the rest of the weekend to plan and get ready.
