NVC received my case today.

 

Hopefully within less than a week, MNL Case Number will be assigned so we can schedule that interview

Awesome! Glad you got the good news!  It seems the tracker is at least somewhat working now.  I just got off the phone from a Tier-2.  Unluckily she was not very helpful repeated exactly the same things that a Tier-1 does.  So Maybe If I call tomorrow as well..heheh.

I would try tomorrow. Normally they assign the number very quickly, even same day they received it. So being a Friday, I would definitely try

And yep, the Alien Number comes I'm thr NOA2, under the beneficiary's name. We were waiting to have mine to finish the i134... Well, still waiting for the letter of employment too, hope that's done soon 

I'm not considered active in the way that counts. My role is a bit more complicated. But I do know I need to do 125% becUse I'm not considered active in the system. Plus I don't receive all of those perks. Wish I did.

So the first indication you received of an NOA2 was via text message? Did you have to sign up for that service, or did they just get the phone number from your application?

They flat out said no, they did not make an error.  The process to send out the RFE can take up to 15 days, therefore they just had not sent it out yet.

I am currently in the United States Marine Corps, have been for over 18 years and will be retiring in about a year and a half.

The government gives us a lot of extra money outside of our normal pay to help.  They give money for housing and a little for food.  If you live on the base then you dont pay for any utilities or the house, your housing money covers all that.

It is pretty nice in my opinion.

 

Starting out in the military gives pretty low pay....once you have been in a little while you make decent money.

Just an update from us.  NVC status shows "Ready" as of this morning!  We'll complete DS-160 first of next week and call the schedule medical and interview.. Wow it goes sooo fast once you get your USCIS approval!

Thanks a lot, i appreciate it.  It is a hard life but I'm proud to do it.  I'm a tattoo artist part time on the weekends and i will be doing that full time when i retire.  I need a relaxing and non-stress job haha.

Wow, sure your case is moving fast. The 9 days between NOA2 and NVC received gives me a very small hope our case might be already there by Monday when we are going to call, even if not number assigned... though I've seen a lot taking 13 days, so right in the middle. We'll see

I really wish that was the case. Unfortunately not. We even looked into the possibility of expediting our case since my fiancé could technically be deployed at any time. But it isn't available on that basis

I don't know if it's any help, but I just checked all the cases for dates 11-13 April. I barely see anything there, just a NOID for April 11th and a RFE for April 13th, both dated today August 17th.

I guess they are working around those dates along with older ones?
