Just realised that Matt has already sent me the completed I-134 form but we obviously don't have the alien number yet. Does anyone know if it needs a wet signature or if he can just scan an updated copy over to me? Also does anyone know if K2 visas get an alien number as well as I'm wondering where that would fit on the form?

I know people that sent the affidavit before NOA 2 and didn't include the number. I don't think it was an issue, but you can always add it and reprint that page, so it doesn't affect the wet signature.

Also I've read K2 don't have an alien number because they are derivative to the K1 and might not be traveling yet. There's topics around here talking about that, so apparently they get the alien number during AOS

Anyway, maybe someone else knows more about this :)

I'm finally caught up with my timeline! Though each day I get more and more convinced that they will ask for an RFE... I thought I had sent enough proof of everything, but who knows. lol

But an RFE is still better than a denial, so...

I know it means nothing because people with my dates are still waiting :(, but I got approved before the estimated timeline. I guess I was very lucky...

Anyway, keep the positive thinking and best of luck :)

A wet signature is required but you can add the information to the signed document. I'm mailing my fiancee's I-134 package with the signature this week and will send her the updated page with the NVC number(s) and she can replace the page(s) within the packet. It's like 3 weeks delivery for mail in Kosovo unless you want to pay 4 times the shipping cost ($400) for expediting and then it gets there in 1 to 2 weeks.

Thanks for your help!

I recommend going to the CEAC site and starting a DS-160 form for the K1 & K2. It will help you understand more about the process. You can use your WAC number to start the application. You can save the application to complete it later when you're ready to file. It's my understanding that everything regarding the K2 is done in the embassy stage of the process.

Holy crapp, who are you using to send it? I'm curious what carrier is best for legal documents to the Philippines. I know Kosovo is a different animal but wow!

UPS, Fedex, and DHL all come in at $300-400. My package contains a couple of gifts too so it's not just documents. If it were just documents I could do it for around $250.

@Chris2870 I don't think you can beat USPS pricing for international priority. $61.50 for 3-5 day service to the Philippines $30 for 6-10 days.

I received my letter of employment this morning and Faye will be getting her Cenomar, NBI and Three copies of BC by next week.

We have our shiny new cart, just waiting on the horse to pull it lol

Lol, we definitely need to get you a nice strong and fast horse ;)

We wanted to have the letter by Friday so Gary could mail me everything over the weekend, but we'll see... He's the relaxed kind so I'm not sure if he'll be up to press HR a bit about it, and I don't want to be too persistent and annoying.

I need the documents kind of soon because I have to send them to the Embassy when they contact me before doing anything else (no medical, no interview appointment till then), so that's why I get anxious when I have to depend on others :P

I hardly doubt anything is going to speed up that much that's even a real concern, but we'll see. Anyway, I guess I can always settle for scanned copies, though I'd rather have originals with wet signatures.

Lol, sorry, just babbling :P

I saw that rate, I'm just nervous about involving Philippine Post in the process. No offense but sometimes it can be like herding cats if mail leaves the NCR.

I had bad experiences with FedEx and UPS in Kosovo. I had perishable medicine sent to me and neither one could seem to get it there before it expired (packed in 1 week cooler boxes). The UPS shipment got stuck in customs even though I had diplomatic clearance to receive it without customs interference. FedEx couldn't seem to find Kosovo. First they shipped it to Serbia through Paris. Serbia sent it back to Paris who then sent it to Germany for some reason. Germany sent it to Serbia again who shipped it back to Germany. Three weeks later it arrived in Kosovo. At that point it was just a giant paper weight.

Is the general consensus that the I134 needs a "wet signature" and can't be a photocopy? I was wondering about this a few weeks ago and emailed the Jakarta embassy. They informed me a photocopy would suffice for that and also additional supporting docs. It would be awesome if I could email everything and have her print the stuff there but I might have to just mail it to he safe. It might be worth checking with your embassy just to make sure because if everything could be sent via email, it'd save a bunch of money.

That's not good! I'll go with USPS and hope they can find the address in Laguna better than they found the Dallas Lockbox.

I had originally planned on sending it through the military APO address to one of my buddies who worked at Camp Bondsteel but I found out 2 days ago that he had quit and moved to Chicago this past weekend. So USPS priority it is! I've had other packages delivered there without any issue. I'm sending my fiancee a new cellphone with US service so when she hits the POE she has telephone service immediately and can call me.
