Well, it's hard to explain what you don't understand, and I sure don't understand how they work

I'm not sure the 150 days rule still applies. When I first heard about that it did make sense, because let's say it was March and the date in the chart was October 15th, so roughly the 5 months mark.

Now? I think it might depend on who you get to talk to when calling, but I think some people from January or early February, that were past the 15O days mark, tried to start an online inquiry or called and they weren't allowed to do so.

Utterly confusing...

It's certainly been interesting learning about all these hidden nuances and intricacies. Glad we have a site like this where people can share and learn about the process.

Thanks for your reply, I googled it, what I understood it is for non native English speaking who are looking to study and work abroad.. I am definitely not a native English speaker but I was thinking maybe we don't really need this because we're not applying for working or student visa right?

right ! :)

132 Days.... My time is Jamaica is almost over and I was really hoping we could celebrate an NOA2 together but it looks like that won't happen. It's funny that when I booked this trip I paid extra for insurance on the trip in case I needed to

change the dates because we had an interview scheduled. Wishful thinking...

That is so cool, so we have a little Ukrainian community in a little April filers community 😀 from what I see most of beneficiaries here are from Philippines, and I haven't seen nobody from Ukraine showing up before, so it's nice to meet you my original Ukrainian friend 😊

My fiance' is from Ukraine as well. She now lives in Bryansk due to all the troubles in Donetsk (her hometown). I've been to Kiev and found it to be a lovely place. I really enjoyed my time there. All together I have been to Ukraine once and Russia three times. We are waiting to see which embassy the NVC will send our application to. Moscow would be the most convenient for her. We will see.

It's great to see tons of approvals last week and this week. But the week isn't done yet so me and my fiance are being positive about waiting. We're expecting this week but who knows? It gives me major anxiety just thinking about when it will arrive. Our receive date is 04/06 and our noa1 is 04/11. I've seen people get approved with the same noa1 as ours. Share your luck lol good day guys!

Hoping and praying for everyone to get there approvals NOW!!

Hi everyone!

Can't believe it actually happened, we got approved!! I was just about to ask if case tracker even worked for those who get their approvals recently, and I went to check the case status and there it is:

CASE WAS APPROVED!!! 😃😄😁

Omg unbelievable, I thought it would never happen....

Received date: 4/7

NOA 2: 8/14

I'm still in shock. It took them 131 days..

Now I'm trying to calm myself down and think what to do next 😀  My fiance is still sleeping, can't wait for him to find out this amazing new!

And I wish the best of luck to all of you who still waiting, it's coming guys!!! I believe till the end of this week most of us will get our golden tickets!!!

Congrats!!  It is the best feeling in the world when you see the approval!!

With NVC appointment processing, Packet 3 & 4 are obsolete, as you are really completing packet 3 when you return DS-230 Part I & II to NVC with the original civil documents, and NVCis really sending you packet 4 when the interview appointment is scheduled by them

You will complete DS-160 for visa application and interview schedule.

according to the rules in Russia we have to email all our documents to the embassy in Moscow in three days before interview , and then we must bring the originals .

Yes from what I understand, everything is done online.  I still do not know if they mail a packet 3 or not.  All of this is confusing for now...but minor compared to the nightmare of waiting for petition approval.
