That's the normal process, yep. Except right now the tracker is not working, therefore the status is not changing in the website and they are not sending texts/emails. Just the hardcopy.

However, the normal thing would be they fix the system before we start getting approved, as April filers. We'll see...

Yes, approvals are being done but it seems no electronic updates.  It's anybody's guess what happened??  Did they turn it off because they were receiving way too many inquires?  Are they simply upgrading the system?  Maybe they want to discourage people from scanning??

My guess is it was in part caused by a huge increase in applications.   In December due to the fee increase.   And in January people rushed because they feared the new President.  Ironically the future did occur as they imagined, however it was caused by them overwhelming USCIS with applications.  I would never wish anything bad on anyone (especially through this process) but I must admit feeling a bit of "shaudenfraude" about the whole thing.  A very high number of RFE's have been sent out also.  Probably because the adjudicators aren't very happy with all the extra work they are doing.

In any case things should be moving more quickly by the time April cases are being reviewed.  I originally was going to file in February, but now I'm glad I didn't.

I guess that's a valid point of view. Who can know what's the real explanation? Though I've read on the January thread they might even not be aware of the system not working properly. Hopefully people reporting on that will be helpful.

Regarding the increase in the number of petitions, what strikes me there is March is probably the month with the higher number of petitions, well over 4,000 (guess it might have to do also with having the maximum possible number of working days, 23). So personally, I'd rather be a February filer than an April one :P Especially with February already receiving approvals right now, which it's a relief since it proves they are still working at what can be considered as a 'nornal' pace for USCIS.

Let's start getting crazy impatient in a month in a half :)

Hi!

Thank you so much for your reply! That's what I'm thinking, surely they'll understand we wouldn't waste money of filing the I-129f if we weren't going about it the right way. I just get so nervous because I will be so upset if I don't get to see him lol :)

How was your trip? I have to go for business but will stay with my fiance (she lives in the same city where I have to go for business) actually we both work for the same company (but based in different countries)

Hey Everyone!

I'm happy to be apart of the group! I'm currently in Ireland with my fiancé as we wait for the NOA2. I unfortunately have to go back to the States in two weeks so I'm hoping that the NOA2 won't be too long. Here is my timeline:

I-129 sent: April 20, 2017
I-129 received: April 21, 2017

Notice Date: April 25, 2017

NOA1 received: May 3, 2017

How do I go about tracking the processing time? My NOA1 doesn't list my field office, it just says Laguna Miguel in the bottom left corner.

Good luck everyone and thanks!

Laguna Niguel is the California Service Center.  Or better known here as the CSC.  Welcome to the thread. :)

Actually just landed and waiting for my connecting flight to Nashville. Everything went fine. I was really nervous but I was barely asked any questions at all and went through immigration in less than 10 min 😊
