I am terribly curious as to why the denials occur. I have looked online for the top reasons and I just have a hard time picturing someone actually doctoring photos, paying the fee and actually thinking it will be approved. They might as well whip out their best crayons and make a sketch.

How about Gigi's cupcakes? Twice I have brought them all the way from North Carolina to South Africa. The most recent time with a 12 hour layover in Paris . . . no, I didn't pull a Homer Simpson and eat them, not even a little, though it was tempting. :P

If you ever get out to Portland, we have some truly amazing food carts here.  They cluster a lot of them in "pods" so you have a pick of about 10 to 20 different kinds of food.

Texas Roadhouse is really good and I like Village Inn for comfort food any time of the day, specially when you are coming back after having a blast of a day and it's past 11pm. :rolleyes:

My stepmom is from Madrid and she would always say how bland American food was.

i can say that the best Paella I ever had was in Segovia, SP and ham sandwich in Villatobas.

As @Mike & Tuyen said, we here in Portland have wonderful Food Cart Pods.  There is one in Downtown that is about 2 City blocks with I don't know how many food carts and the diversity of food choices is incredible.
