My first K1 was received March 2015 and we were stuck in the Texas Service Center backlog for 8 months (this was before they began routing all I-129F petitions to CSC).  I'm so thankful that petitions are moving so quickly now!

Good day!

 

I have a question for you, I am an annulled individual, my fiance ticked the "Divorced"  for my status in our I129F form. I have read some inputs here, that it .should be "Single" , but single means "never married" . We have attached all the supporting documents which will prove that I am legally able to marry, Court Decision, Decree of Absolute Nullity of Marriage and Entry of Judgment (Certificate of Finality. 

 

Do you think there will be an issue about my status? In filling out my DS160, shall I choose "single" or "divorce" (just like the one in I129F?)

 

Please help my confusions be enlighten

Divorced is correct since you have been married in the past.  This is another question however that would be better asked in the main k-1 forum or even the Philippines forum since you can draw from the community as a whole.

My pleasure.  The Philippines forum is an awesome source of detailed information as well.  So make sure you take a peek in there as well.  Sagot, Hank and Greenbaum are experts on the Visa Journey through the Manila embassy.  

 

On that note Happy May Day! We have made it to the end of April.   Time moves on and we all are one step closer to the goal.  Let's hope it is a relatively smooth journey for us all.

I too am not a patient person but the wait is quit worth it. I am hoping that my fiance is here before october. I wanted to do a very small wedding as opposed to court house since he has never been married and I have been married twice.

Hi, my fiance mailed k1visa on April 10th and he just got his package back because he didn't write his mailing address on one of his paper. we submitted G form. ( I forgot name of the form but it's for email notification.) But we never gotten any e mail notification from USCIS. Have these things happened anyone? He sent package today again.

Yes, that's happened to people before for not signing a form or sending the wrong fee or whatever small detail. They make a first superficial check at the Dallas Lockbox before accepting your package and send it back to fix it if they see something wrong or missing. Since they didn't accept your package and process it, nor cashed your money, you are not still in the system and therefore not email.

 

At least that's my understanding... Good luck, unexpected May filler :/

Sent in my 129f on April 24th, Just received the NOA today, but i have a question.

 

I put my fiance's child on the 129f but he isn't represented on the NOA, my fiance lives in Canada. Would her son normally be on the 129f or does that come later for his k-2 visa?
