I'm sorry if you already answered the question but I clearly missed a lot today while working so did you contact USCIS about the withdrawal? And what was the result? Are they honoring your NOA2 to move on with the K1 or are you gonna have to start all over and do the spousal visa?

When did he mail it? And was it USPS

@Maria124 I'm sorry things are not looking that bright right now, but still that's just what your lawyer said. As @Trinab80 was saying, not sure if you contacted USCIS already, but sure enough that seems like the first thing to do to know exactly what's the situation, because anything else right now is mostly speculation. I'm against false hopes, but sure I'm in favor of getting accurate information.

I saw it. Will my iPhone ( which I have no idea how to use half the time ) run it? I am smart but technically challenged :)

i just watched a YouTube video on how to use my new camera hosted by a squeaky voiced 12 year old for pity's sake :)

Lol, I'm not really that skilled myself with certain things. 12 years old can beat me any day :P

You could see the file in your phone, yes, but it would be kind of messy to do that and scan cases, because that Excel is about the same as having a list written down in paper, so kind of annoying to shift from one to the other to copy numbers.

I've just resigned myself to the fact that they will get to it when they get to it.  I feel bad for my fiancee in the Philippines because she is more in limbo than myself as I can still go about doing more things here.  She. however, is without work and just waiting.  I figure we will get the visa eventually but it is very hard on her and, for the both of us, it is life on hold.

That was our original plan until I found out about the ten day waiting period for a marriage license in the Philippines. My vacation max is ten days straight including weekends.

I could have greased the pocket of a Barangay official but would've probably got caught when my return flight was before wedding day lol

.. so you didnt pursue getting married and with the spousal?  right now i guess we both deserve a headache since we werent thinking too well before making a move 😖

First time I've heard that one.  Not saying it isn't the case but it would still take months to do the CR-1.  Whatever happens I hope your situation gets resolved quickly.

Lesson learned and lots of admiration your way for realizing it.  A couple more weeks of patience saves months of waiting, heartbreak and money.  The light at the end of the tunnel is much closer for Aprilites than we all realize.

really a lot of lessons learned.. i dont i guess iLl just wait for my F to call the UScIs. on whats the best thing to do about this.. if all else fails, i guess continue with the plan on getting married.. 😔😣

@Estibaliz Hey you didn't get yet your NOA2?:( I remember you're on 1 april.

Who? Me? I'd wish! My NOA1 is April 11, not 1 :)

Received date is April 6th, so maybe they'll get to that date next week or the one after that the latest.

And yep, same situation here (not working, just waiting), but it is what it is :)

They say " Emotions are the enemy of logic " for a reason. Have your Fiancé call USCIS and plead his case to ignore the letter. It's worth a try. Keep your chin up.

@Estibaliz thats what i told my F too. i think right now, we really need to be sure first before making another move.. ive told him to call uscis  just like what youve said earlier,, but he's too i dnt know i cant say the right words. that he even had me schedule for a consultation with an immigration lawyer. and then answeres turns out this.. 😔

now we'll just wait what the USCIS can say (atleast theyre official)

Yes and if you too have any trouble with the waiting period (10) days let me know and I'll see if my Fiancé uncle can help. He's the Vice-Mayor in Las Pinas, NCR
