I did notice when doing the manual scan. I would be on a certain date and suddenly I would find cases for previous dates, even previous month as you said. No idea, really... though I stopped losing my time in metaphysical questions when it comes to USCIS long ago (and therefore I live a happier life)

I have to admit I'm ashamed. I lied to my Faye for the first time ever.

The chow hall isn't bad but the bar and bowling alley there are where it's at! You have to find a way to get on one of the unmarked 737's that fly out of McCarren airport to get there though.

Lol, that's true, it's in Nevada. Actually I think my fiance knows someone from Nellis. That sure would be interesting. We'll have to see about it

I used to own a house near Nellis. I've worked on the Nevada Test Site in various locations. I could tell stories but when I left they gave two numbers to remember. 10 & 10... 10 years in prison and 10 thousand dollar fine.

 

I've never forgotten.

You don't have to tell us but when you moved, did you build a bunker lined with tin foil, and fill it with non-perishable canned food? That would fill in the blanks.

I can tell you that I rethought my career there one day when they told me to fill up the fuel tank on my vehicle and get ready to run towards Utah when they thought a nuke test was going to vent. I don't know about the tin foil but you wouldn't hear me argue against having a bunker full of weapons and food!

Whether this gets me an approval on my case, or an RFE, I don't know yet. I'm feeling very optimistic and I recommend others do the same as honestly, she contacted me very quickly on this matter.
 

That's my update. And of course, no NOA2 today. Informed delivery isn't notifying me of any mail.

Well, I've been giving a lot of thought as to why the processing times moved backward in the website and this is what I think:

The website is designed to tell you the estimated processing time (as the name states), not necessarily which application month they are working on, therefore, on July 18 as it states in the bottom, they updated it to let us know that the waiting time is now 5 months (because the got caught up with haiti stuff or whatever reason it is) instead of the regular 3-4 months it used to say earlier in the month.

 

So they are not trying to trick you into believing they are working on January cases.. this is just the only way the can let us know is taking longer now, because that is the way this table is designed.

I didnt get this info from any official source, but this makes perfect sense to me..

This slow down clearly coincides with the Supreme Courts decision to uphold parts of Trumps travel ban/ extreme vetting, and is a form of protest by USCIS....my opinion only.

I wish you the best of luck and hope it results in both positive action on our cases, aka, an approval!
We deserve it. 

You could be right. That's a pretty interesting theory. I wouldn't be surprised. At this point, anything is possible.

Estimated processing time or not, there's clearly many people being approved in March and April. I have spoken to USCIS on the phone and they state they're only processing January 1st petitions. That's obviously incorrect... all that matters now is that I had my senator inquire on my case, and hopefully I will hear something positive come of it.
