They are good making sure documents are filled out completely and correctly, that's it. I still had to supply supporting evidence and construct the packet.

Although the petition has a 4 month validity date, it can be extended by the embassy via email.  Extension is usually done automatically but it is important to follow up with the embassy to make sure it's okay so that they do not let it expire.

yes im so happy. As i said in USCIS website when i check still i saying when they receive my petition -on 29th of March, so maybbe some of you are approved and have no idea about it yet

yes,they do not let it expire...but! it means they give you a corridor of time for the interview ... when you are notified that your case is in the embassy and you can schedule an interview day, it is better to have the documents ready ... when you pay fee and open the calendar for the record - there may not be free dates that you want, ... if you make three attempts - you will have to pay fee again.

@Estibaliz it was such a good idea to be organised! thanks to you, I discovered something! i am normally very last minute with these things. 

 

I wanted to share this with all of you who may have lived in a different country for more than 6 months. We need to provide police clearances from those countries, as well. mine was from the UK, and the service (without the delivery time) takes 10 days and it costs significantly higher if you want it faster! i wanted to share this because even requesting that document requires documents that may take time to collect!

So I called and asked for another expedite last Friday even though they told me that they couldn't give me one last time as we were under background check. They gave me the result of my expedite as needing more information so apparently background checks are done. So I'm assuming a lot of people around my date are done and we're just waiting to be called up. Here's to hoping.
