At least we are not having a wedding ceremony, so that's not anything to stress about. Right now Thanksgiving sounds very plausible, so let's hope for it :)

Because I'm a big planner and wanted to save us extra waiting, we already have all the documents ready, except for the letter of employer that Gary will get right after NOA2 (he already gave a head ups to his supervisor writing it) and send me with the i134 and fresh letter of intent to marry (though I'm 99% sure I don't need it here).

Today I'm going to the doctor because I need blood tests for my hypothyroidism (I hate blood tests, but oh well), so I'll take the opportunity to ask about vaccines, though I think I have all I need. I thought at first I might need the tetanus boost, but I've read in the medical info you don't if you got five dosis of the vaccine total, and pretty sure I had even six.

So yep, just waiting and waiting... Tick tock :clock:

That seems to be the only positive thing about the wait - being able to plan for the next phase!

Definitely make sure you double check on the vaccinations. I did that last week and obtained my records. Apparently its very expensive if you need one on the spot at the medical. I also had my doctor perform the physical that would be done at the medical to make sure I was healthy. That service is covered in Canada, not sure if it is in other countries.

I've got my I-134 documents all ready as well - just need to be dated once NOA2 arrives. yay for being organized!!

Yep, made an appointment for next week with the nurse, since the doctor said they can provide me with an updated vaccination record, because mine is this small like notebook from when I was a baby, lol.

Doctor also said my vaccines  were perfect, but still double checking with the nurse. Our health system covers everything, but vaccines at the visa medical are around $20 each, so I'm avoiding that, but not really that expensive.

It should be, but it's not. Here the visa medical costs 313€ ($370 USD at the current exchange rate), but you have to pay an extra for each vaccine if needed.

That sucks. I guess the chest X-ray cost 250 in Europe? Other than shots there's not much left.

Yes I just confirmed with someone from here in the Philippines who had just medical last week. It's 16,000 pesos or yes 300USD inclusive of 4 vaccines needed😊. It's a relief because I just talked to our HR department and they said they don't furnish vaccination records. I had 3 of them except Dtap. So since they won't furnish me the records I'd have to redo all

Hi Guys,

talking about the medical what are the vaccinations needed for that? or where the information could be found?

from other VJ's post I found this link: http://www.cdc.gov/immigrantrefugeehealth/exams/ti/civil/vaccination-civil-technical-instructions.html#tbl1

but I have been searching around and there is slightly different information on that...

a clarification would be great!

thanks!

Yes the varicella is a two stage vaccine, the second is given Stateside prior too AOS. Might be a three stage anti-cervical cancer shot given to women under 24 as well, first administered there then remaining Stateside over next year.

Didn't know about the varicella but yes the anti cervical vaccine is given in 3 shots. So it is only for women under 24 years of age?

Yes must be finished with series before 25 and since its three shots over 18 months then woman must be 24 or under. I got bored 5 months ago and researched it so I'm going off memory here.
