Thank you! You're very helpful here.

So you guys haven't been paying anything at the time of nvc except for visa fee? When should it be paid then? Are we supposed to wait till the case is in transit or even ready at the embassy?

I didn't have to pay until after getting packet 4, when I booked my interview, but since after NVC things are country specific, I'm sure @Tatiana&D.S. can be much more helpful here :)

I was able to get through yesterday but maybe they're having issues today .. @Melodica256 Tell them you have received a notice of approval from the app, but you are not sure if it is true or not because the caste status still reflects received, so you have conflicting information and you need it verified, and also you need to verify addresses that have been submitted on the petition :jest: works for me every time.  Do not let them not transfer you! Sometimes you have to be a little pushy and firm with them .. not rude, but pushy. They are just call center people .. they are not going to go run and tell on you for calling, so get after it :jest:

From receiving NOA2 to interview depends a lot on whether you have the documents ready. If I had all my documents before hand, it would take less than 40 days indeed..... This is factoring in current medical and interview waiting times. But yes, the average is between 40-60 days for London.

The police certificates arrive between 7-10 working days from your order. They say 10 but that is the upper limit. Mine took 8.

To the previous poster, @Estibaliz is right. Yes, you can have a cosponsor for London Embassy. You simply require two i-134s (one for each).... This is the route I'm taking.

Just wondering if anyone has the answer to this question. I know that the vaccination requirements are meant for AOS (but its best to have them on the initial medical so that you dont have to re-do the medical). BUT what is the deal with the flu vaccine? Does this need to be done if AOS in during flu season or just the medical?

Basically, I have already had the Flu vaccine at work. But they havent put it on my vaccination records yet

Also... what months are flu season this year? I just cant find it

It is best to have it indicated, on your initial medical, that the vaccination requirements are complete. Otherwise, you will have to fill out a bit more paper work and see an US approved physician to append the new vaccinations to your medical records during the AOS. You only need the FLU Vaccine if your initial medical is from Oct-Mar irrespective of when your AOS takes place.

Thanks so much for your reply, are you writing a cover letter or anything to explain?

When is your interview?

Thanks again the joint sponsorship worry was starting to stress me out lol x

Okay, so am I correct in thinking that, because my medical is tomorrow (Sept 21st) I dont actually need it even though my AOS will be early next year?

My girlfriend added a short note saying that "Since she has returned to school fulltime, her dad has generously agreed to co-sponsor our petition." it is not required but we thought we attacht he note just for comfort. Interview is Wednesday the 27th. You shouldnt worry about the cosponsorship at all. It's as straightforward as your fiancee sponsoring you... except you need two i-134.

Yes this is correct. After your medical, you will receive a vaccination worksheet from the receptionist. In it, they have imputed all the vaccine info you provided. Towards the bottom of the sheet, there will be an option to be ticked that says US Vaccination Requirements Complete, or, alternatively, Incomplete. If you have all the vaccinations required for the K1, they will tick "Complete." As long as complete is ticked, you are also good for the AOS. The worksheet specifically mentions that you can/should use it for the AOS.

@rachied26 @S*UK @Yu&M

I copied this to my own Visa Notes from another VJ member:

  • The DS 3025 is the form the people at Knightsbridge hand back to you once your medical is completed. It is imperative for your AOS that you get BOTH pages back from them before you leave. The added a second page that has a statement that basically says you got your immunizations needed for immigration.
  •  If you don't get this back there is a possibility that you will have a headache when filing for AOS later on. The DS 3025 can be used in place of the I 693 as long as you file for AOS within 1 year of your medical (which most of us do), but a lot of UK filers have had issues with RFE's for their DS 3025 from Knightsbridge without that second page. (some have still had it even with the second page... it seems to depend on the adjudicator you get)
