They can't tell you what the RFE is for over the phone. There were a whole batch sent out recently. Typically about a week for mail to come back sometimes a little faster than that. When my receipt on the paperwork was sent it was dated the 17th, arrived at the lawyers office on the 24th and my house on the 25th of April.

You can track your case here: https://ceac.state.gov/ceacstattracker/status.aspx

Once the status says 'ready', your file has been transfered to London. You can then do steps 1-5 here: https://uk.usembassy.gov/visas/fiancee-2/applying-for-the-visa/

In the meantime, gather all your required documents i.e police certificate, passport pics, birth certificate, medical history, vaccine records, I-134, paychecks, W2s, letter from employer, new statement of intent (signed) and continued evidence of relationship ^_^

Thanks for the info. Today our status changed to ready! What do we do now??

Our package left NVC on 8-30-17 for Bangkok and is still showing "in transit" this seems like way longer that what others are taking. We have an attorney working on it and he says all is normal. Any thoughts?

The next steps are all explained in the link that was provided there, referring you to the Embassy website.

Have you already filled in your DS160, gathered all your documents and scheduled your medical? Then is when you can send the readiness form to them and schedule the interview if I'm not mistaken, since that's not my Embassy.

NOA1: April 25th

Day 140 for me.  I've not heard anything since they transferred my petition to the Texas Service Center on July 28th.  I've called USCIS multiple times and spoken with Tier 2 and they cannot see the reason for the transfer.  I submitted an inquiry August 16th and it has to be responded to by this Friday.

Hopefully an approval will come quickly!

I'm not sure what's going on with Tier 2- I keep reading that people were getting denied a call transfer to Tier 2.  I've never been denied a transfer in the 2.5 years that I've been involved with USCIS.  If this happens, please remind them ( nicely) that per the USCIS Policy Manual, you can request to be transferred at any time.

Our Journey:
04/19/2014- Met online
10/2014- Visited Nigeria and he proposed!!!!
02/28/2015- Sent I-129F petition
03/05/2015- NOA1
09/2015- Visited Nigeria again!!!
10/28/2015- NOA2 (237 day wait at TSC)
11/13/2015- Sent to NVC
11/27/2015- Arrived at Embassy
06/2016- Third visit to Nigeria!
06/15/2016- Interview, given option to file I-601 waiver.
08/16/2016- Waiver submitted (no lawyer).
11/21/2016- Waiver approved with expedite.
01/2017- Embassy requested interview.
04/2017- Fourth visit to Nigeria.  K1 officially denied.
04/25/2017- NOA1 for 2nd K1.
07/27/2017- Case transferred to TSC.
11/17/2017- Case transferred back to CSC.
01/16/2018- NOA2!! (266 day wait)
03/08/2018- Interview (AP)
05/03/2018- VISA APPROVAL!!!
05/14/2018- Visa issued
05/18/2018- Visa picked up
05/25/2018- HE'S HOME!!! 💙💙💙

So my fiancé called yesterday, managed to speak to Tier2 after being on hold for 102 minutes. Apparently we got an RFE that was sent out on Friday. Noa1 is April 26. No update on the tracker or via email.

I triple checked all our documents and I still have no idea what they could possibly want from us. Any ideas? This is such a bummer...

I'm sorry to hear that! Did you send boarding passes or passport stamps? That seems to be the thing they're caught up on at the moment.. Our receive date is 24th of April an we've not heard anything yet, however we only sent boarding passes and not stamps so I'm a bit worried we'll get RFE too..

Thank you. Hope you get your NOA2 soon. This waiting is agony. Yes, we sent passport stamps, boarding tickets, hotel receipt, vacation pictures with explanations, screenshots of chats, both G-325A and I-129F, paid the fee.

We didn't put his police record or affidavit of support. Could that be it?

I doubt it would be that. Affidavit of support is not until later and I don't think you need his police certificate? At least we didn't provide that. Have you checked that there's nothing you forgot to tick? How about the letters of intent?
