We had recently put in a request with the local congress office and they had submittted a enquiry on our case.

Not it sure if that helped speed things!

Also Matt was always told the Feb 1st line but this time when he called he said he wanted to check the status of a congressional enquiry on our case, apparently that got him through to the tier 2 pretty quick!

Thanks, I think I will probably call my US Senator's office on Monday and see if they can help it along at all. Day 144 since the received date at this point.

Best of luck with the rest of your process, hopefully you enjoy the holiday's here stateside.

Definitely double check on their website that they help with immigration matters and usually there is a privacy release form that you have to fill out that allows them access to your case.

Good luck! I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you and everyone else still waiting

Does anyone know if it's risky to visit the US after getting the NOA2 or even after NVC? I might try to go over mid October cos it's my fiancée's birthday and he'll be in NY which is so easy to get to from London and hopefully by mid October we've had our NOA2 come through ... but I'm not sure if it's advisable?

Well, if you read old threads, then it seems like a no no and just horror stories... But the fact seems to be a good bunch of people did that no problem. Probably that topic, "Yes, you can visit" talks about this too.

It's same case scenario than before the NOA2: show a return ticket and strong ties for that return.

I would even think that having the interview appointment, with the paid fee, might work as good proof. Why would you go that far to just stay and screw it? Even just the NOA2 proves you have gone through the worst part of the process already the legal way...

I called USCIS today and spoke with tier 2 and he said they put INTEND TO DENY remark on my file. I am not sure what that suppose to mean ,i mean i have submitted all evidence including pics, chat details ,call details ,airplane tickets with all other necessary documents . Does anyone have got this like response from USCIS on their case or if somebody knows what t really suppose to mean. Its  really frustrating to hear this after all that long wait.

The link above is for NOID which occurred AFTER the interview but it might shed some light.

Sounds like you may be able to appeal or respond.

Wait I'm worried now... I have a pre-booked 2 week holiday for Halloween to see my fiance (I think we'd have been approved by then) ;_; I always dread customs as I feel like they're going to just not let me in after I've travelled so far and I hate it :c Can you give me some more tips on how to make sure things go smoothly?

Thanks @LabOz for the link . At this point i am not sure really why did that, matter of the fact i submitted lots of evidence to them ,our engagement pics, our chat details ,call details, airline tickets ,receipt for ring we bought for our engagement .I am not sure what else evidence they need ,i guess i have to wait until i get the letter to understand why they did so.

Congratulations. Definitely getting jealous. I called today and they said still in process still processing February 1st etc etc.

I partially wonder if the cases get assigned based on country or something. It certainly seems like the European countries get through faster. If that is the case I am betting the Nepal papers are sitting with a group for India.

UK and on day 150 so I dont think so
