Today we called the NVC. It has been 13 days since our NOA2. Our case was received and we now have our case number (LND******). On to the next step!

Hi everyone! After a LOOONG 144 day wait with zero updates, this is what showed up on my informed delivery today! I'm trying not to get too excited until I see the contents to be sure, but I am so so happy that there is a letter!

 

Just in case this happens to be an approval (I am still trying not to get my hopes up - though it's really difficult), my case tracker still shows received April 10th with no further updates. A Tier 2 officer last week told me that my case wasn't even assigned to an adjudicator exactly 1 week ago too, though he wasn't too nice so I'm not sure if he was telling the truth or just trying to get me off the phone. 

 

I just wanted to mention this in case anyone else is like me getting depressed that there are no updates on the tracker on their case even though it might be working for some. Just keep checking and there might be a letter after all!

 

P.S. Interesting note - the postage mark on the top right actually says ZIP 05495, which is Vermont and not California.. I don't know how these postage stamps work and it doesn't actually match up to the Vermont Service Center zip code but thought it was interesting nonetheless.

p.s I got my NOA2 dated 13 days ago and the tracker still says 'received:4/10'

It looks to me like a proper NOA2 and that you were approved on Monday 8/28. Yay!

     Congratulations to everyone who got so far in this process! Seeing your cases move so fast after you've got the NOA2 gives me some hope that maybe the waiting is not going to be that agonising after we also receive our NOA2.. It's been 141 days and we haven't heard anything and it makes it even worse not having seen my fiance since january and knowing we can only see each other after i get done with the interview..He called the USCIS today and spoke to the tier 2 who hasn't been helpful at all. He was thinking to send a letter to the senator, anyone know if that would help and what we could tell them?

This is a hard question to answer. Its unlikely, but not impossible, that you will ever receive a text, or case update. I still dont have either and we signed up for notifications when we filed. The one thing you can be (almost) 100% sure of is a mailed NOA2.

K well I can help a little.  I work at the post office and see weird stuff from time to time... So the zipcode on the stamp is where the stamp was printed.  So like if I were to use the postage system to print postage on office wide stationary it would have my zipcode on the postage.  And YAY!!!! U are getting news!!!
