It will come.  Maybe not today, or tomorrow, but it will come.  Just keep on hanging in there.  The longest part is behind us, and the prize of being with our loved ones is getting closer and closer.  I really believe that we will have great news in the next week or two.

One day more. One day less.  One day closer.

I couldn't help but notice the beautiful picture where it appears your have an engagement ceremony but not sure. I point this out as there have been some who have shown pictures like that and the CO will think that is a wedding picture and will decline your K1 visa. There is no explaining when that happens. Your file is dead and will be returned to USCIS for filing.

SO DO NOT SHOW ANY PICTURES THAT CAN GIVE ANYONE AN IDEA THAT YOU ARE HAVING A WEDDING. This could be a traditional Vietnam ceremony but to the CO it looks quite different.

It's happened numerous times to others here on VJ. So take heed.

Yup, I think I've just turned from lurker to annoying reminder of noa2 wait lol

No we are not allowed to make a doctor's appointment until we have the interview booked unfortunately. Once your NVC case number says READY on the tracker you can send in Packet 3 by email to the Montreal Embassy. You can find packet 3 here https://ca.usembassy.gov/wp-content/uploads/sites/27/2016/07/Packet3Instructions-K1.pdf After that within 24 hours you usually receive packet 4 stating that you can schedule your interview and medical. :) Hope that helps. If you have any questions just ask them and me or many of the other Canadians can help you. I also just got my case number from NVC and today it moved to In Transit! woohoo. Good luck on your journey and hey maybe I will see you at the interview stage. :D You never know.

Are all the interview being completed in Montreal or are there any locations still processing the K-1?

All k-1 interviews are in Montreal now. They changed that around the end of January of this year I believe. Also they only do K-1 interviews on Wednesdays.

I heard something to that effect but was unsure as I don't follow all the countries that closely. Since I have experience in the Philippines I concentrate on it. Thanks for the reply.

Just received NVC case number today! We have been calling and calling for a week since it was received by NVC. We found out our NVC case number in both of our emails this morning! So calling NVC might not be as effective as waiting for their email notification:) Good luck everyone!

Perhaps we will meet up at the interview. :D That would be cool. Yes my fiance got the emails this morning he was super excited and forwarded them to me. We did not fill out the electronic form but the embassy will get my email when I send in packet 3 anyway. :)

I was wondering about this earlier. How long is it taking people to receive the email from NVC after NVC actually receive your case?
Also, does anyone know if the UK uses electronic cases or not?
Congrats BTW!
So happy to see lots of positive news on here recently. And to those still waiting for NOA2 hold in there. It WILL come.

I will send you a message once I got our interview date! Which electronic form? I can't wait. I already finished DS160 today, it took me 2 hrs and half.

The one you could submit with the I-129F to receive notifications. We did not fill that one out. LOL Not that it worked anyway.

That would be great. What would be your ideal interview date. I know that most Wednesdays in October are still open. I finished the DS160 as well minus my picture. Thanks for the reminder. I was telling Chris some of the security questions and he was like WHAT. lol Then he said do they want my first born son too after I put his name and address in for the millionth time. LMAO

NVC received our case August 21st and we got our case number August 30th and received the emails this morning. Not sure about the UK being electronic.

You might use idphoto4you web to DIY your digital photo in single and in 4by6 inch to save money. I did that and it made wonder. I had a photo of myself against a bright white wall first then edit on the website, the single saved to upload for 160 and print off 4by6 at Costco for interview.

Hmmm ok I was just gonna take a pic of my american passport sized pics that I take to the interview and work with that. Um for interview we need 2 american size passport photos though which is 2x2 and depending on where you go for medical you need more. I think Montreal medical needs 5 of them. Sighs sooo many pictures of me to scare people away. LOL
