Our receive date is 24th April and my fiancee called yesterday and nothing. He called twice and spoke with Tier 2 twice and they both said our case have not been touch and that we're still within the timelines, which they by the way say are 3 - 5 months. They did say after that we can request for it to be fast tracked..but I believe that when I see it..

Thank you for sharing this! I guess we can only wait with hope now. ><

Hi Estibaliz. Is my signature okay? Sorry, I don't remember when I received my NOA1.

Sorry, I was using my phone then and couldn't seen your signature. It's perfect :)

Thank you for sharing the good news and congrats again :D

So, you'll never believe it, but the Tracker is working! I just refreshed it one more time before going to bed (it was midnight here) and the status changed to approved today (8/28)!

No worries about the embassy, I can stop worrying as much for the time being. Thank you though, I'll be sure to check around this site for info! It is such a relief, isn't it!

Good luck to you, too, on the next steps; and thanks for also letting me vent a little!

Congratulations!! :jest:

Thanks Estibaliz!

Lol, I just called, and the frustration just gets worse with the calls...

I'll try again on Friday.

The worse thing about all of this is the putting our lives on hold waiting for this to come through before making any other major decisions.

My fiancé and I are a strong and secure couple, we would wait for each other for ages if necessary.  It took a long time to find each other (nearly half a century to meet the love of our lives!),  so what's a few days more?

But all our life decisions about where to live, what to do about work, does we sell the car or have the license renewed, where do we matriculate the kids, etc....

all that "life-stuff" gets in the way and each new one that has to be made without a known future path makes this experience more and more difficult every day.

Perspective shift--- He is the best person I could imagine to go through this with so...

I guess all I really have to say is, bring it on,... We're stronger than this.

Nearly half a century?! :o Lol, but you look so young and cute in your profile picture. Beautiful couple indeed :)

And thanks to you for putting on words what a lot of us feel, from the frustration to the shared love and determination, that will make us succeed in this long process.

Don't let USCIS to take you down ;)

We called on 22 august....and the next day we received a notification of approval ... and in the NOA2 hardcopy the notice date 08/22/2017... probably a coincidence .... August 21 was a solar eclipse, on August 22 I wrote in the comments,
...." Lord of Mercy ....."
... our call , the same day,  then  NOA2 .... when I think about it all .... maybe it's a little crazyness because of  waiting ...))

Sorry, but this way works only for interview for a  tourist,  business visa, etc, but the form I-797 issued of USCIS , embassy can not change the validity of the document issued by another institution, nor the termin of validity of the passport, too

They can choose NOT to renew at times and let things whither on the vine.  This may be what you are referring to.   However, They can and do extend these at the convenience of interested parties.  This can be found referenced in a few different areas,   Actually - under the United States Code - found in the foreign affairs manual, you will find the authorization for broad reaching powers of the Consulate.

Another thing interesting I read in this book is:

If a K-1 visa, valid for a single entry and a six-month period, has already been used for admission into the United States and the alien fiancé(e) has returned abroad prior to the marriage, the consular officer may issue a new K visa, provided that the period of validity does not exceed the 90th day after the date of initial admission of the alien on the original K visa and provided also that the petitioner and beneficiary still intend and are free to marry. The alien’s return to the United States and marriage to the petitioner must take place within 90 days from the date of the original admission into the United States in K status.

[Source: 9 FAM 41.81 N6.3 Reissuance of K-1 Visa ]

I wonder if that is still in effect?  If so, Kinda takes care of the pre AP filing problem (in case of a family emergency and you haven't filed for AP yet, or AP not answered yet)

That is indeed very interesting. Though it seems to me you could resort to that for a very short period of time and, of course, it doesn't apply if you have already got married.

But always good to know about these little tricks and facts :)

Nothing in informed delivery yesterday and nothing in informed delivery today. No updates on the tracker whatsoever. I also noticed on the apps that it seems to be that they update other petitions about a decision or approval, but not the I-129F for some reason. Frustrated beyond belief at this point to say the least. No longer holding onto the hope that "It must be on it's way in the mail." At this point I'm preparing for the worst and for the need to contact the ombudsman. Yesterday I sent in a letter to my senator asking for a congressional inquiry on my behalf and will be calling on the 31st to speak to Tier 2. Also currently looking into how to immigrate to Indonesia based on marriage. At this point I'm not even preparing for the worst and hoping for the best, just preparing for the worst.

Well, someone with your same Received date got the NOA2 in the mail yesterday, dated 8/23. So I think it's good you are planning ahead and getting ready for all kind of outcomes, but don't lose hope completely, because I wouldn't say you've been left behind yet :)
