Well I hope so, maybe by next Friday I will have mine! The officer requested it the Tuesday after yours  ... I feel like calling someone and exercising my freedom of speech, but we all know that doesn't do any good

The tracker seems to working (at least for rfe's) today because there are some updates in the case numbers around mine, so maybe we'll all get updates today.  Fingers crossed!

Hello everyone, I'm new here and I'm just really curious if anyone knows about timing. We filed our I129f on April 6 and got our NOA1 on April 11. We got our NOA2 on August 10. Does anyone know how long until my SO can come here if all process goes well with the embassy? Our NOA2's expiration date is on December 9, can the visa issuance be more than that date? thanks and goodluck to everyone here thats still waiting.

Okay so an update for our case, and also a few more questions. I just got our NVC Case Number, over the phone and we still don't have our hard copy and the application is still with them. What is our best course of action while waiting? I read somewhere that once the we get the case number we can start scheduling for interviews/medical exams? They also stated that we can submit the DS-160. What are the moves that I need to be doing at this point? I'm sorry for the over abundance of questions. I'm just really excited and can't wait and want this process to go as smoothly and as fast as possible. Thanks everyone!

I'm just trying to do everything I can to make sure we're set up for a sprint at the end of this marathon. I can't speed them up but I can have our ducks in a row.

I believe you can book medical and the interview once you receive you NVC #.  Go and get the medical set and the interview date.  Make sure you have the medical completed a few days to a week prior to the interview date.  Complete the DS-160 and pay the fees.  You have some control on how quickly things move now.  Congrats and good luck moving forward!!!

Amen to that!!!  I have already got Rose booked for her GCP at the CFO (Philippines only on this one).  As soon as we get the MNL# from the NVC I am booking her medical and interview.  Still have a very slight chance for a white Christmas together but I'm not holding my breath.  Her kids will finish their school year in March so that may be the next decision.  We all want to be together as soon as possible but logic makes me think they should complete their entire school year then move to the US.  I dont want to wait that long but it is probably better for the kids that way...

Exactly my cause as well. We have all of our documents and I am ready for visa fee's and other expenses. I have been thinking on things the RFE could possibly be too, so I have been running around town gathering more documentation ... especially things that may take a minute. My hope is to have this thing back in the mail to them the same day or day after I receive it, and I tell you man. I am severely disappointed in the service I have received from the visa company over this one. I called them to report the RFE and ran through some scenarios with them and they just play stupid, like Ok, just wait for the letter. Hey,  I get we don't know what it is just yet, but lets look at my petition and try to figure out what isn't right ... nope. Waste of money ... Triple review my A$$ ... Tans my hide man  I will not use another service for the rest of this process that's for sure. Oh ... We have former USCIS employees working for us ... where did they work ? The mail room ?! Gee whiz ... what a waste ... OK OK  rant over ... thanks for letting me share

Which service did you use?  I used Rapidvisa.  I thought an extra set of eyes would not hurt.  I guess I could be wrong.

So even if the case is still with NVC, and I don't have our hard copy from them yet, it's okay to file the DS-160 already? I've already got it all filled up and saved, just want to make sure I'm doing things right without jumping the gun.  So is the process as follows? Thank you for your time on answering my questions and good luck with you as well.

  • NVC Case# > File DS-160 > Schedule Medical > Schedule Interview

  • NVC forwards Case to local embassy (MNL) > At the same time sends me a hard copy of the case.

Look over the stuff that you submitted them, maybe it was a slight oversight. Did they tell you already what went wrong and what your course of action is? I filed my own I-129f (no lawyers, no legal consultants) to the best of my knowledge and followed everything they instructed me to do in the USCIS website. Of course, if there was something I didn't know I went on and searched google for keywords and topics relating to my case. Hope you get this resolved, and wish you and yours the best of luck.

Yes.  Once you have the number and pay the fees you can book the medical and schedule the interview even if the embassy has not yet seen your file.  This obviously assumes that the embassy will have received the file before the interview date.  In our case I believe it is averaging about 56 days between the NVC number and the first available interview date.

DONT FORGET ABOUT CFO!!!!  Some people are taken by surprise when they are not allowed to leave because of a simple 4 hour seminar!

Okay, I will go ahead and do that once I get a second confirmation on here. Thank you so much. Also, my case is in the Philippines as well. Again, thank you and I wish you all the best of luck with your processing times. Don't give up on the White Christmas thing just yet, thats something to look forward too, and such just a feel good thought.

Hi. I want to chase our case by calling and asking a T2 agent (my fiance called and spoke to a T1) but my fiance is scared beause they said they record when and what you call for. We don't want to p*ss them off, is it okay to call again within the same week? Our NOA1 date was April 11th so I feel like we should have had something no case update, no post etc)

Thank you

Not an expert in this matter, but I asked same questions.  I was told a screenshot of your NVC number printed on paper will get you into SLEC for medical.  Further, I was told that your case has to say 'READY' before you can submit the DS-160 and get an interview date.

dunno, but sounded logical to me
