Received hard copy of my NOA2. The 2nd tier officer told me that my case was approved on 8/15 but my NOA2 was dated to 8/14.

It seems a lot of applications were approved on 8/14. So check your maibox, yours maybe on its way!

I've seen this happening often. I think they update the information next day of the real approval. Even better, one day less in the next waiting for NVC number :D

Congrats again.

I just use the Apple USCIS App. It basically allows me to check the status of lots of cases simultaneously by simply adding multiple cases to a 'my cases' page and refreshing. Nothing yet for your WAC number. In fact, it doesnt look like there are any updates for 10/4 receieved date today :(. But, someone on here ^^ just posted about a possible approval for their case when they called USCIS (NOA1 13/4, the same as ours). So all hope isn't lost! :star:

Same NOA1 date as us!  Hard not to despair when we're 4 months out...😞

I have one last quote for you all.  "Goodness thinks no ill, where no ill seems."

Well played!  A lot of craziness went on here it seems since I was last lurking around.  Someone in favor of doing the right thing, gets trolled not only once....but twice, in true millennial fashion.  And for no absolutely no good reason. Also in typical millennial fashion, troll if it stands in the way of what you want.  Everyone in here stands on the side of the troll.  Then you slam them all with one fell swoop, and they don't even realize it!  Holy smokes!! Tough crowd!

Lol, just realised, same date, same country as you S*UK.  Let us know if you hear anything!! 88080 here. Hoping our particular USCIS agent is a little behind because he or she had a restful vacation and is ready to be back, bright and perky on Monday morning with a hot cup of coffee in one fist and an approval stamp in the other.

So so my OH called yesterday, first spoke to a really nice lady (Tier 1)who explained a lot, he still asked to be put through to Tier 2 and she did. Tier 2 said they're processing 1 Feb, my OH half then said, I know that's not true as we're on this forum and people from early April are getting their NOA2's through. He then ( my OH said he was super nice was really nice) and said, I know CSC are processing April as well at the moment. My OH then asked if he could look at our case and he said that ours had not been assigned to anyone yet, however he said that once they're assigned it moves really quick and a desicion is usually made within a day or two maximum. He then said that tier 2' s cannot see much more but if my OH wanted he could make an appointment with our local immigration office and that they can look further into it and give us a more exact estimate etc.. this is the first we've ever heard of this and to be fair they received our application on April 24th so we're still not expecting anything yet but at least we got some answers and if we haven't heard anything in about 3 weeks we will schedule that meeting.

Hello my Visa friends!

My Irish Fiancé's received date is 4/21/17. I'm hoping that we hear back the last week of August or first week of September. How long is the process after receiving the NOA2? Like best case scenario? Trying to stay positive!

Next question: Is he allowed to visit me in the States? Would this slow down the process in any way?

Thanks guys! Love the group :)

Welcome to the family :)

So how long it takes after NOA2 depends a lot on your country and the steps you have to go through at the Embassy stage. Also on how well prepared you are regarding the documents you'll need to send or take to the interview. It also depends on availability for appointments. I guess you can count on 2-3 extra months to be safe, so it can be less too.

Take a look at the VJ stats for your country here: http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/stats.php

It shows 53 days for Ireland, after NOA2.

And of course your fiance can visit and it won't slow down the process, unless he's visiting when he could be doing things for the interview and medical :P
