Congrats! :jest:

LOL. Why is there always someone sleeping when the good news come?  Oh well... Time difference :)

Thank you!!! Yeah 7 hours difference, it's a shame. So hard to see each other... But anyway I'm so happy! Now it's on to the next waiting until NVC received our case 😑 another month or so, right? Until the Embassy gets the documents. And I also have a question, sorry for being so clueless, but what is the mysterious packet 3? 😳

8 hours difference for us, so I can relate :)

You can try calling after two weeks have passed, because they are being quite fast lately. We are going to try and call on Monday (11 days), basically because my other half telecommutes that day, so I can be on cam and give him the speech before he calls, since he's a bit clueless about the whole calling who, when and what for thing :P After that, it will be on him to keep trying.

Packet 3 is different depending on the country but, generally speaking, that's the first contact you have with the Embassy, when they tell you they got your petition and to proceed with the next steps. Check your Embassy to see how it works, because for me packet 3 is a check list of documents I have to send, plus the petition for authorization to book an appointment, and I can't book medical or do basically anything until I get it... But in other countries there's certain things you can do already without waiting for them.

For Ukraine, I think it's basically the email saying they received your case.

There's a bunch of Ukraine beneficiaries on March thread, all of them very nice. Maybe you can ask some of them :)

Packet 3 is the "Instruction Package" For standard processing posts (not many of them anymore), this is what the embassy sends out when it receives the petition from NVC. You return package 3 with DS-230 Part II to request your interview be scheduled.

Packet 4 is the "Appointment Package" This is the package that has the interview appointment and the final checklist of what to bring to the interview.

With NVC appointment processing, Packet 3 & 4 are obsolete, as you are really completing packet 3 when you return DS-230 Part I & II to NVC with the original civil documents, and NVCis really sending you packet 4 when the interview appointment is scheduled by them

Good luck !

Thank you!! Now it's much more clear to me 😊 So basically we just need to wait more, to be able to set up an appointment... Cause I thought that packet 3 it's something we need to send somewhere 😁

Never heard of that DS-230, maybe that's country specific, because we need to fill DS-160 for K1.

Again, this is country specific, so don't go for what anyone from a different country tells you :)

In the link for your Embassy I provided you before you have the whole process explained. For your country you take the documents to the interview, instead of sending them beforehand like I have to.

We can work on DS160 beforehand to save time. I'm certainly plan on doing so, because I want to send my packet 3 documents back ASAP, and the DS-160 confirmation page is part of that. :)

Yep, I've seen people having some technical problems while filling it, like the photo they had wasn't uploading or the educational section didn't display, so better to take a look ahead of time... Because this is stressing enough as to have to struggle with that kind of things when you are trying to speed up the process as much as you can... Or as much as they let you! :P
