I bet. I read that just being able to eat native foods can lesson homesickness substantially. And make the transition a lot more palatable ( pun intended) B-)

My main priority to combat homesickness is making sure I can get a cup of tea! Luckily our local grocery store (Lowes) sells PG tips and Matt got me a kettle for Christmas. I'm also going to miss the chocolates at Christmas but my mum is going to ship Quality Street out to me.

I'm a June filer, but have been lurking on this and the March thread hoping to see some approvals!

Had to chuckle at your tea and kettle comment. I'm not British, but do love my tea! Have now figured out that not many Americans have a kettle, because they're not huge tea drinkers. Same for my fiance, so guess what's on my shopping list for my upcoming trip....? Exactly that :)

Well forgot the post but my Fiancee and I finally got our NOA2 it came in the mail Saturday. I literally checked the mailbox 4 times that day. Finally, as I was driving home I saw a mail truck down the road so figured why not check one more time and there it was! Haha maybe I was going a bit crazy 😂. I hope the rest of you receive yours soon!

In case you were wondering here are the dates:

USCIS Received i129f: March 29th

NOA1: April 5th

NOA2: August 1st

Great News!  More April approvals as USCIS moves away from the crazy landfall of petitions sent in from Jan-Mar.  Good luck on the rest of your long Journey to Citizenship!

APPROVED!!!!!!
.......

Not sure what it means that it was approved August 4th from the senator, but the notice on the I-797 form says 8/03. Either way it's kinda one of those situations that makes you wonder if the senator DID help. An inquiry was sent out on August 3rd from my senator. Either way, I am super happy!!!
........

First off congrats on getting your NOA-2!  Far out that we have 2 confirmed so far today!   Having said that your Senator didn't have anything to do with your approval, they just reported the results of their inquiry.  Just happened it was already approved.  Good for you!

I've taken a look to your timeline, and just two tips. NOA1 date on the timeline is your notice date, not received. And your service center is California, not Texas (that was only the lockbox and all K1's are sent to California nowadays). That way you'll get your estimate, that I bet it's 13-19 right now, since my received date is one day before yours :P

Indeed and in addition your case wasn't transferred to the CSC.  I see a lot of timelines that say their case was transferred from Texas to California, not the case.  Texas is just a lockbox.

So I got frustrated today so contacted customer service. Talked to service representative. They said  Office is currently working on cases filed January 1 2017.  Could not give estimated date your case will be reviewed.  Told me to call back next month. :( it's so annoying!

It is a complete waste of time to call USCIS customer service.
