Estimated processing time or not, there's clearly many people being approved in March and April. I have spoken to USCIS on the phone and they state they're only processing January 1st petitions. That's obviously incorrect... all that matters now is that I had my senator inquire on my case, and hopefully I will hear something positive come of it.

As far as I'm aware, and feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, there is only one person so far with an April date who has been approved.:(

But yes, many from March have been.

That IS right. Igor's list shows 4 Approvals for April. 3 are from March received cases and the only April one is that rare one for mid month we had approved in less than two months. We heard about a couple of RFEs for mid month too a while ago (no VJ) and just this week a few more were issued for 3/4, not sure if any for 4/4 already.

So not really accurate to say April cases have been approved that much.

And indeed! Timeline has moved a great deal since we started this journey. When we got NOA1 and created the timeline the estimate was July 12-17. Right now, we are in August 11-19. So a month, yep... Though I have to say when I checked yesterday before going to sleep it was 13-21 :o

So glad to see it has just moved a couple of days in the right direction for a change :)

It's coming, for sure... Tortoise mode, but still coming :D

I'm just trying to say that many people have had their cases touched in March and maybe not as much in April, but their claims of only processing January 1st when I talked to them on the phone is complete lies.

Has everyone started putting their next documents together? I was trying to put it off in case it all took longer than expected but I'm thinking now is probably a good time seeing as I have a million things to do once our NOA2 comes through (giving notice on my house, selling furniture etc.)

Is it just the the letter of intent and I-134 I need from my other half in the US? I already have his bank statements, letter from employer and W2 forms

I applied for my U.K. police certifcate July 2nd, I haven't received mine yet. I followed up with ACRO and they told me it was already dispatched on July 12th! I followed up at the headquarters of the post office here because my local post office doesn't know where is my mail yet and apparently the certificate is delivered to a different post office, about the distance between Surrey and France! Haha. Hopefully I'll hear something from them soon. I reckon that Philippine Postal system is a bit unreliable on this one. Ugh.

Oh, I'm sorry it has taken so long! :( I still haven't applied for mine, should really get on to it. I hope you won't have to travel all that way, and they will get it to you safely soon.

I'm in a bit of a panic mode now, just wondering what else is there that I should be doing that I am unaware of!

The lack of NOA2s for April filers isn't helping with my mood, either! Sorry to be such a whiner, hope everyone has a great Friday and wishing for some good news! ^_^

The list, off the top of my head.. Affidavit of support, 3 years of IRS tax transcripts (or tax returns, I'm doing W2's also), I believe also 3 months of paycheck stubs/receipts, employment verification letter, police certificates from any place you resided for more than 6 months, and further evidence of ongoing communication, trip photos, receipts etc...

That seems about right.

Do you know if my fiance in the US has to send me his police certificate and marital status certficate, or do only I as a beneficiary need to present these? Do we even need to present a marital status certificate - some sources don't mention it.

No, the petitioner doesn't need to send police certificates, only the beneficiary.  I believe having both martial certificates would fall (in my opinion) under the category of better safe than sorry!  I would include them.  Better to have too much than not enough.

I'm sure you know this, but don't forget the birth certificate along with the police ones for the beneficiary.

Anyway, the best thing to do for this part of the process, since it's country specific, it's to check the info using your Embassy website. Mine doesn't require any type of marital certificate, while in the Philippines the CENOMAR is mandatory.

You can also start gathering the medical required docs, basically vaccine records, but some countries also ask for the medical records from your doctor (I think I saw that for the UK).

Another thing I've done already is getting my college diploma and transcripts legalized, so they are good for the States while looking for a job. I also need to translate my birth certificate with a sworn translator for later on along the process and all kind of bureaucracy there.

On another note, I've just checked April 4th and 5th, and no movement there so far, but April 3rd was quite big on cases (264), so with that and them working on March and other older cases, it makes sense :) I think next week they could be focusing more on April.

And never ever forget snail mail can be slow as in a week wait for a letter to arrive, so it can always be on the way for the late March fillers and even so early April ones :)

Have a nice Friday, the weekend is almost here.

Oh you are really so keen on details. I have never thought about the diploma and transcript getting certified from the Department of Foreign Affairs here in Manila. And maybe also getting my license renewed. Thanks for that. I should put that in my list too and maybe work on it in soon because it also might take some time to get it. I have been focusing on the documents for the K1 that I never really given much thought about those I might need for employment there. Except for getting my US board soon  that is.

Have a nice Friday!
