Good luck with that, @tcovington. Fingers crossed for you.

And yep, that was another topic today I was forgetting... It was all DIY for us, no lawyer or visa service. Still I wouldn't say no professional doing, because I'm professional enough :P

Of course, still waiting...

Question to everyone that knows!

My fiance(petitioner) is a September baby too! We had plan a trip to LAX to meet up on his birthday, crossing my fingers that by that time we already have the NOA2 is there any problem with me entering the USA?

Im still working so I will have a letter from my company stating that I have to come back

Plus a returning ticket already purchased

What do you guys think?

Honestly I think it would be easier to have him come down to Mexico. They will scrutinize your visit very hard. But who knows lol

You'll be fine. I've crossed and never had an issue. All I bring with me is my return ticket, any hotel bookings, travel insurance, Canadian bills, and a copy of the NOA1 to show I'm following the process. I've had random questioning but nothing out of the ordinary so just be completely honest with the officer.

Its important to show strong ties to your home country as your planning on immigrating soon, the officer wants to ensure you're following the immigration process (which you are).

Goodluck!

I mean I have had trips to the USA to see my fiancee before while on the K1 without any trouble not even a question regarding the K1, but now if we have the NOA2? will it be diferent?

Oh in that case go for it. You've shown compliance to the rules so an NOA2 shouldn't matter. Good luck!

I'm very jealous right now. The chances of my Filipina Fiancé getting a tourist visa is between 0 and are you kidding me. Basically don't even think about it!

They might question you a little more than usual, but nothing you wouldn't be able to answer. It really depends on the officer. In all my times traveling to the US I've had one officer (before K1) that questioned me hard, other than that I've had positive experiences - most feel sorry for me that I'm going to Oklahoma City!

I'd bring the NOA1 and NOA2 with you and all documentation showing ties to home country. If you have the interview date thats even better to really show that you'll be going home. Its better to be over prepared before crossing.

What country are you traveling from? I'm not sure about obtaining a tourist visa during this process, as I don't need one.

I'm using the Android one, 'USCIS case tracker', and it shows the country and date... but they ask for the day you filled in when introducing your case, so I can imagine some people use when they sent the package, some use received date.

Oh, the Apple one is cool to scan, because it has filters for the type of case... and anyway, I'm sure either me or @Trinab80 would be around updating you all on new alerts for approvals, so no worries :P

Well, Trina is going to visit her fiance tomorrow... yay! :jest: And I do have to sleep and have a 7-9 hours time difference with the States, lol... but yeah, we will be good on info around here anyway, because there's a bunch of nice well informed people around here :)
