We have submitted our AOS and EAD forms to the chicago lockbox facility. Included with these documents were the one page vaccination worksheet since my fiancee did not received all of her shots. Well we went to see our local civil surgeon to complete her vaccination shot requirements. The doc handed us a sealed envelope. Now should we submit this sealed envelope to the chicago office or can we take this to our AOS interview? It think I saw somewhere it depends on the local USCIS office. I don't know yet but I am sure there should be one here in Honolulu. Anyway i just want to know if i can bring it with me during my fiancee AOS interview? The second question is where do I go to register at the USCIS so that I can check on the status of approval of our AOS and EAD? your help will be greatly appreciated. Aloha.

Bangus Delight...

I highly recommend SENDING the sealed I-693A Supplemental Vaccination Report from the civil surgeon to the Chicago Lockbox Facility along with your AOS and EAD applications. However, we did not, but immediately after the formatiles at the AOS interview the first thing the CO asked was about our vacination report (we did submit the DS-3025, but as you know, the Philippines does not offer the TD shot). I believe that we were just lucky not to receive an RFE because theoretically the AOS submission was incomplete. Also, by you not submitting the sealed vaccination report, it is my belief that you will automatically forfiet the opportunity of being approved WITHOUT an interview.

Cheers!!!

Oh I suppose we can submit our I-693a although the AOS and EAD applications were mailed out already. I did not know that one could be approved of its AOS without an interview if the submittal is complete. So we may take your advice to submit but anyone has a second opinion on this? Now how can I can register to determine the status of approval of our AOS and EAD? thx.

Back to the first opinion... LOL! Since you have mailed your AOS & EAD applications already minus the sealed I-693A, hold on to your sealed I-693A. I don't have confidence in sending separate information to USCIS without being solicited for it via an RFE or at the AOS interview (if applicable).

Nope. Has nothing to do with it.

People get RFE'd from Cali all the time for the supplement.

A perfect package does not automatically mean AOS without interview. Neatness never hurts. But perfection doesn't mean you won't still get transferred and get RFE'd like the rest of us POOR SLOBS who SUFFERED through an interview.

Hahahaha!!! What I meant is that if the AOS application is incomplete upon it's submission, there is no way the applicant can expect to be approved without an interview as many of our wonderful VJers.

No Uling, that's incorrect.

Petitions get sent to Cali all the time, the petitioner gets an RFE, and they subsequently get approved without interview.

There are many people who have had an RFE, responded to it and then have had their case sent to CSC. How the application is put together and how neat it is, is really nothing to do with approval without interview.

I agree, don't send it to Chicago; wait until you receive a RFE for it. We were in the same boat: didn't have the 693-A at the time we filed for AOS, though we did send in the vaccination worksheet that was submitted for the K-1. Our case was transferred to Calif. and while we waited for the RFE for the 693-A (which we thought would surely come), we made arrangements for a visit to the civil surgeon. Ultimately, however, after the transfer we received a RFE for tax info and never ended up getting a RFE for the 693-A. We never had an interview and my husband received his green card 3 weeks ago. So...it's happened for at least one person. Good luck!!

Ha! Enlightened! Rebecca you are the best. I did not think along that path... Man, I've gotta get outside the box.

Hi!

What exactly is an RFE? All these abbreviations are killing me LOL. I don't have any of these forms that you guys are talking about because NONE were ever given to me at the medical exam. All I have is my vaccination health record and the medical exam itself, which was in that sealed envelope that the IO took when I entered the country.

Also, by you not submitting the sealed vaccination report, it is my belief that you will automatically forfiet the opportunity of being approved WITHOUT an interview.
