Dear All,

I have an interview next month, however, after reviewing the form I noticed that I have a terrible mistake in entering the data. I mean, I have entered two travels that they doesn't exist (they are in older years but what can Isay)! do they compare the form with their data? is there any possibility to change this page at time of interview claiming that I have just done an error especially that I have also traveled outside the US after submitting the form?

Regards

Hi there,

at the interview, i'm guessing they will ask if anything has changed since you send your application. You can then explain the error. Be ready with the exact dates and i think you sould be fine.

Good luck

Hi,

I got the interview for few days ago and I had traveled for outside the U.S after I filled out the N-400. They asked me about traveling and I told them I was traveling after filling N-400. They did fix it in my N-400. You don't have to worry about, they will fix it.

Thank you guys...

The problem that I have done a mistake in some travels that I already entered in the form, they were in old dates and I need to delete them. and there are other updates, will I be able to change the paper? or the interviewer will update on the same form?

Moreover, is it true that the interviewer open a screen which shows exact travel and compare it with the form?

What do you mean old dates? Were they beyond 5 years? They are only interested in the last 5 years or 3 ( if based on marriage yo us citizen).

They know where you have travelled regardless of what you put on the form - The self disclosure is more to allow you the chance to list them and be honest.

If it was done in error, then the best thing you can do is mention it and make sure you have documentation that supports your continuous residency in the US.

From what I read on here, you cannot prepare a full new sheet, they will not allow that, they will need to make the amendments on the paper they already have - if it is a lot of changes they have to make manually be ready for a grumpy IO ....

also, they would probably ask for proof of travel , basically if you got them wrong the first time, they need to ensure the amended info is correct , i.e. passport stamps, travel documents, rental cars, etc.

as they see papers and people with various stories all day, your best bet is to be prepared and keep it simple and clean so that they can follow easily. makes their job easier and your experience better, hopefully.
