Dear people,

I had my interview last tuesday at the consulate in Amsterdam (for a K1 fiance visa) I got approved and all went well, now my case was created on 29th of march and changed on the 30th to administrative processing nonimmigrant visa. She told me after approving that I would receive it within a week. The 31th of march there was no update or change. It still says case created 29th of march updated on 30th of march (to administrative processing. Anybody knows how long it takes before it gets issued, and or could i receive an email or normal mail that I have to send in more stuff?

I would like to fly to the states before april 7th because its my fiancees birthday..

thanks for the help

There is no upper limit on how long AP can last; it takes as long as it takes.

But for most people--especially Europeans--it's typically completed in a handful of weeks, if that.

The status usually changes from immigrant to non-immigrant and gets a new case creation date right before it changes to issued. So your status should change to issued any weekday now, monday or tuesday is my bet.

K-1: 12-22-2015 - 09-07-2016

AP: 12-20-2016 - 04-07-2017

EAD: 01-18-2017 - 05-30-2017

AOS: 12-20-2016 - 07-26-2017

ROC: 04-22-2019 - 04-22-2020
Naturalization: 05-01-2020 - 03-16-2021

U.S. passport: 03-30-2021 - 05-08-2021

Every case is different so it's impossible to tell. But if they needed something more from you they most likely would have told you at the time of the interview.

Now ive been in the following status for the last week:

28 march: day of interview Immigrant Visa Application ready

30 march: Nonimmigrant visa Application ready

30 march: Nonimmigrant visa Application Administrative Processing

3 april: Update Nonimmigrant visa Application Adminsitrative Processing

4 april: Updated to Nonimmigrant Visa Application Ready

Now you see it changed all from non immigrant while after the first I was expected to see Issued yesterday or today, im confused worries and have a bad feeling about this.
