Dear people,

I had my interview last tuesday at the consulate in Amsterdam (for a K1 fiance visa) I got approved and all went well, now my case was created on 29th of march and changed on the 30th to administrative processing nonimmigrant visa. She told me after approving that I would receive it within a week. The 31th of march there was no update or change. It still says case created 29th of march updated on 30th of march (to administrative processing. Anybody knows how long it takes before it gets issued?

I would like to fly to the states before april 7th because its my fiancees birthday..

thanks for the help

I applied for J1 visa.

It really takes too long now, my interview was on 27.03 and I was told that it will be ready by 30.03. Not funny anymore :/

If youre approved its gonna be fine, they just have to get the documents ready.

I know it sucks but you can only wait..

Thanks for your reply.

Obviously now I am spending way too much time on the Visa forums, and I've read about cases that the J1 visa was approved, but it took months to issue it. My J1 program starts in just 11 days and I can't afford to move it further in time. So flustrating...

Maybe you can send the consulate or embassy where you had the interview an email, maybe they can give any insight, but its not a guarantee. I wish you the best and hang in there.. dont forget to mention your full name date of birth and your case number in the email. Also send the email very friendly (kill them with kindness) ;)

No problem at all, eventually it will be allright, try not too make yourself crazy. Also most visas go to issued around 4/5 pm (at least in the Netherlands) because they will go to the mailroom then and gets scanned for issued.
