Hi there,

I am petitioning my husband who is back home in DR, I am a US Citizen and we are doing the I-130, we got married in Sept 2016 and sent paperwork in to USCIS on November 18th, my case was just approved on March 16th  and was supposed to be send to the NVC in Nebraska but I just called them and they still didn't receive my case.  Do you think I need to be more patient or call USCIS and speak to a supervisor or somebody?  IDK what to do the wait is driving me crazy and I miss my husband so much....:(

hello, you need be more patient.

i understand you about the waiting time driving you crazy, on my first k1 i was driving me crazy too with the waiting time, now i am really relax, just waitng with patient.

you case was approved on march 2017, you are in the normal timeline , remember that I-130 take 18 months normally until interview date.

so your case isnt out of time.

k1 visa take shorter, ussually fiance visa take 4 or 6 months from uscis to interview date, but k1 visa are expensive that I-130.

so for be together as soon as possible , best thing is do k1 visa.

as you choose I-130 you need wait, your case is out of time when take loger than 18 months. so best advise is relax and be patient

you can read about I-130 timeline at USCIS page, best of lucky
