once upon a time it asked for 2 passport photos of the beneficiary however i don't believe its on the new checklists.  Myself and several others sent them anyway as we were uncertain, and the embassy told me they arrived in my NVC package and they'll use them instead of having me bring new ones to the interview (as long as they're less than 6 months old at the time of the interview).  Basicaly I don't think they are required at NVC stage anymore, but definitely for the interview.

well as far as i know at the nvc stage passport size picture or any pictures at not required 4 is required for medical and 2 at the embassy the decision is yours

hey guys morning i just tried logging on to the nvc site where i got a pop up screen that states i need to send my documents in which was done yesterday also they stated that the current review time is 30 days?? once your documents is received,  did anyone else receive this???? also please note in the pop up were intructions on mailing and emailing docs it clearly stated that it should  be done in 1 envelope or 1 email so if your stuff doesnt fit in one email i suggest mailing cause they did state it would delay your case

just a quick note ... the medical is dependant on each country. Mine required 6, yours required 4, and I've seen various others.  The embassy will tell what the correct amount is for the country you're in :-)

with your bank statements, one thing to make sure of (assuming you're doing i-864 based on assets rather than income) is that the funds need to have been in your possession (or steadily being accumulated in your possession) over the space of at least a year.  For example, they want proof the money didnt just show up in your account last week just in time for your visa application.  For ours we provided 2 years of statements for our savings account, and for our day to day spending account which still has about $9K in it, we showed the last 6 months.

NB: when filing with assets instead of income, NVC will give you case complete with a checklist. The checklist will just be saying that the embassy will assess assets rather than them doing so, and to make sure you have up to date records at the interview.

We did bank statements etc up until our filing date in January. And then I just dropped off the updated records to the embassy yesterday, with a new i-864, in preparation for next weeks interview.  If you like I can let you know if I get any comments/requests back from them.

Thank you for insight!  We actually have a letter from the bank which goes back 6 months which is what they offer for immigration purposes.  Fingers crossed that's long enough :) I'm hoping that the fact that the sheer volume of everything we are presenting for assets will address any question the embassy official may have.

I would love to know if you get back any comments/questions from them - thank you!

They want your barcoded cover sheet included with your documents. Your scan date will start once all fees are paid, DS-260 completed, and have received your supporting documents.
