Today our case was reviewed at NVC! I called just a few minutes ago and the rep said we got a checklist for the Affidavit of Support. Dang it, haha. It will be a quick fix and we could still potentially have CC this week. So for those going through email processing, I can now confirm through personal experience that the 2-3 week timeline is correct.

What did they say about your Affidavit of Support?

They said we were missing some documents and that the signature was not dated. Our attorney filed everything so it seemed odd to me that they would have made a mistake like that. I contacted my attorney and they confirmed that everything had been filed correctly. So I called NVC again to see what the heck had happened.

I was told that the representative I previously spoke with submitted a request for "supervisor review" of our documents (would have been nice if he would have told me that he was going to do that!!!). The person I spoke with this time said that perhaps the person who reviewed our documents the first time made an error, so a supervisor is now going to have a closer look at it. This sounds like National Visa Center made a mistake. It amazes me how they could have made that kind of an error, but I am relieved they have identified that it is likely they made a mistake. I have seen that checklists with EP are handled quickly, I am just worried that supervisor review could slow us down. The person on the phone said it could take up to 6 weeks, but that less complicated errors are often handled sooner than that.

I am calling again to request to speak with a supervisor who can review this now because this is their mistake and I should not be forced to wait longer because they screwed up.

I'm in similar boat, except that I did regular processing.

Got checklist for police certificate even though I personally put it in the envelope with the rest of documents and bar code sheet on top of the certificate along with certified translation. First time I called they put it under supervisor's review. They told me they're going to do that though. I even asked them what's the value of it if they claim it's missing, the rep said if you claim you sent it then it's worth checking. But it takes up to 6 weeks. So, the question is what happens when they review it after weeks of waiting and figure out again it's still missing or whatever the original issue was.

Yeah, they told me it takes up to 6 weeks. I am going to continue calling them until I get someone on the phone who can review the documents with me and complete the case right then and there. We should not be forced to wait longer because someone, to quote the rep I spoke with speculated, "was going through the documents too quickly". Their mistake, they should resolve it immediately.

I'm on my 8th call to reps since checklist, still no-go to the supervisor. They all claim that supervisors can't do anything. I still requested to talk to supervisor but they have all kind of excuses such as all of them are on the meeting at the moment etc. etc.

Let me know if you find your way to infamous supervisor.

Good luck!

Ive been looking at so many timelines and noticed that through eletronic processing once you get an RFE and you send them what they need, people usually get Case Complete in less then 3 days..

Ok, I am just worried that since the RFE was apparently an error, and that it is now in supervisor review, that it may take longer than that to be approved. I will hope for the best.

Seems like there are only two options here. If they claim something's missing or not valid, you can send the documentation with correction. In case you believe you sent the right one then they have to request the review which is basically second look.

In regular processing, any time you send them something, that's going to reset the scan date. Essentially you can choose between 11 weeks or 6 weeks for review.

Now, how's that related to the Email processing is the question.
