Got RFE too :)

It was police certificate, they are claiming I didn't send it, but I personally put it in the envelope with dedicated bar code sheet with the rest of documents.

Go figure.

Mine was because the USA actually made a mistake in mine US passport and spelled my name with a J instead of a Y.  I had to send about 20 pages worth of evidence that it is the same person.  They make mistake and we have to pay for them. LOL

Any know if the native version birth certificate is required along with translated version?

Yes, you have to send an original copy from your country along with a complete translation of it.  Make sure you don't send the original you get from your country only copies because the original you have to take with you to the interview.

I Spoke to NVC and they mentioned i have a checklist(Native Birth certificate):crying:

Does it take same time to review the checklist document?

Yes I should guess so,  according to NvC it should take up to 11 weeks,  I got a checklist myself for computer generated certified copy of birth certificate. They said the handwritten copy I sent it's no longer valid

Do you i have to translate the native birth certificate by myself?

Coz , the native and translated document are not necessarily in same format.

No, you can not translate it any official document like a birth certificate or marriage certificate your self.  I used a company called Prime Language Services, they translated all of my documents since they were all in Spanish and I had no issues at all.  I got  the company from a friend of mine you just finish the process for his wife.

Translated version has to be done by licensed english translator. Also, be sure you go through checklist carefully identifying exactly what they want. Sometimes rep can totally mislead you.

The most important part is the last page of checklist should be titled "INSTRUCTIONS FOR:".

Good luck.

You didn't send it or something was wrong with it?

I'm not sure what 3 n/a mean but people on here say it means that your case is complete and in route to the embassy, so I'm guessing is a good thing.  I'm not there yet, I just got the PAID for my AOS and I'm still not able to pay the IV fee, I'm hoping it would be available to pay tomorrow.

hey need some explanation what do ppl  mean by they see 3 n/a's??

When you check the ceac website and it shows the statuses of your payments and documents. The AOS fee says paid usually. When the AOS fee says N/A people usually have Thier case complete. I uploaded a screen shot u can see the two N/a then you see AOS says paid.

I don't think it's anything nvc goes by. From what i understand people going through the process just figured it out themselves.

I sent official translated(English) copy issued by government, we have been using that for all legal purposes(even I 130).

Now they are asking handwritten copy as well.

Oh ok, yea we had to send it the long form original birth certificate and a translated one. I think it may be different with nvc because they are going by what each consulate requires for the interview..
